What a joke? CNN article declares Rand as biggest loser in the debate.

But with each attack, Paul failed to do what candidates must do to break out in a debate: Pivot to his own strengths. Instead he simply pointed out Trump's weaknesses.

This is, IMO, a valid critique.

The whole business of media organizations declaring winners and losers (as opposed to letting the voters inform the media in time) is so repugnant to me.

Not surprising. We live in bizarro world...do people even listen to what the candidates are even saying anymore? Or just how they say it and present themselves?

So fucking annoying.

I'm not sure Rand could present himself in any other way that would make a damn difference. His positions are clear...defend the constitution, bill of rights and your liberties. If people don't want that than there must be some kind of mass psychosis affecting them that people here have managed to avoid contracting.

It was the worst moderated debate on foreign policy ever . . .

Just ask each candidate about something some other candidate said about them . . . time after time question after question.

Worst Presidential campaign journalism ever -
"The Jake, Dana, Hugh Show . . . our guests tonight are . . ."

What is so hard to ask all the candidates the same question with equal time, not conduct any polls, don't give any post debate coverage, and only wait till Election Day?

Too logical? Though no candidate would abide by equal time because some would try to get in every single word of what they had to say.

Calm, respectful, and orderly doesn't earn ratings. Mudslinging, chair flinging, name calling does.

We live in bizarro world...do people even listen to what the candidates are even saying anymore?

Humans are flooded with information while in the "nose to the grindstone" mode in order to stay afloat. Look at yourself, the only reason you are here is because you do have copious amounts of time available on your hands for one reason or another. The rest of the people offload analysis to the experts who tell them what to think. The reality is not that important.

We the voters would actually get to see each candidates position on an issue . . .
at the end of the night I have no idea with some candidates are campaigning on.
Except for Madame President Fiorna on the neocon warpath.

cnn's own poll disagrees with cnn

with republicans and independents leaning republican, Carly Cruella up 4% from 1%, Trump up 5% from 19%, Walker down 3%. I guess that's who I would view as the big loser. Rand's results are 3% points better off than Walker.

Typical with Carly Cruella Del Vil and Jeb as the biggest winners.

So how did Rand get elected without knowing how the media operates? Did he not watch his dad get sidelined by the media in the last two presidential debates?

because Rand is a senator and he just waited around politely for someone to punch him in the face, yes he did lose. He came across as very weak even though his answers were solid

What would he have to do or say to come across as being "strong?"
