We need our own island

Philippines

Believe me the Muslims have tried taking a piece of Mindanao for over 40 years. I don't think they have had much success. Besides, the US is providing a lot of the military support to kill the rebels with the joint operations they do. The casualty rates for a Philippines plan would be staggering.

I gurantee the MILF and a few other rebel groups would be glad to take any Americans hostage and ransom you back to your families.

Might as well say Myanmar lol. Did anyone watch the latest Rambo?

Like I said, we will probably purchase independence.

I was just in the Philippines and kidnapping is a serious problem there. I know first hand that is not a country I would suggest to try nation building within. With such extreme poverty the locals in Mindanao would see you are a potential windfall and make sure to kidnap as many people as you can send down there. A similar situation happens in South America (see the recent news abut the FARC situation to learn about another rebel group who use ransom to fund their operations). Why not set your sights on something attainable like the Seychelles? They might not miss one out of their 155 islands...

A country of 80,000 population or a country of 88 million. I think a country with a population of 88 million with US military guidance can easily field about 1000 times more troops than needed to end a rogue island. Contrary to your belief there are many very wealthy people who have never been able to purchase a free nation with money (see that incident with Tonga years ago for example). Nobody wants to give up their eminent domain over any scrap of land on the earth (or territorial waters). We are about 100 years too late for that! =( Back in the day we could sail a ship somewhere and just claim it. Too bad in this day and age everything is claimed.

Also, only natural born citizens of the Philippines can even own land there (like a lot of the world). Plus they have no second amendment like the USA. A foreigner can't posses a weapon or a permit to carry one under any circumstances. What kind of defense were you planning?

I feel like this thread is so out there its on the fringe. If you really think you can purchase a country why don't you go buy Sealand? I hear its for sale and extremely cheap if you can uphold its sovereignty in British court. There is precedent, but I think it could go either way at this point depending on the current judges. One would have to accept their ruling since you can't exactly declare war and stave off a missile aimed at the platform. Any one of the British army, navy, or air force could pretty much end the whole issue in a matter of minutes if given the green light.

Sorry for such a long post. I wish there were options but there really aren't...

Go buy an island and live below the radar because its as close as you can get. Sealand still exists because nobody really cares at the moment. Just a handful of people sitting around on an old AA platform.

We don't need our own island. One book you all need to read is blowback, by chalmers johnson. Any nation that opposes the American empire's will to dominate will eventually be overthrown.. the people that do this could even be called terrorists... We need to stay here and fight together. This talk about giving up is ridicules. Our fight is here we have the Constitution and our Bill Of Rights still. As long as we have that and our guns to protect our family's, neighbors and our rights and property we will stay here. We can win this by educating people. We can win this as long as we don't run away with our tails between our legs. Lets say a chunk of you leave... What then? 25k active supporters gone. Lets say you do this and you leave... 25k people gone.. when you can easily move to new hampshire or another place to start a free state project. You can easily take control of local government with that many people.

Imagine this.. you get your 'island' and populate it with 25k folks.... Lets say the NAU forms in 2019 then American empire building will be even worse... unlimited solders from Mexico.. who will eventually knock on your door saying.. hey you need to join us.. or else. You will surely refuse... and hell you know what could happen to you? Yep... termination or 're-education'. Think about that for a moment before you try to leave.

Organize groups make newsletters... Educate people, that is how we will win.. not by running and hiding only to be safe for a few extra years.

Leaving will only make it easier for the media to control the rest of us. You leave you abandon us all. We are all patriots, therefore we must act like it. Stay together and we stay free. Education is the key. Do not be afraid to talk to people about things like foreign policy or how our money is not backed by gold. Hell I do that whenever I can.

Do not give up... The small vigilant and persistent groups is what made this nation free in the first place...

In Liberty,
Chris

The key to success is that once the island is officially a new country we can offer land by the square foot to people who want to be citizens and are willing to renounce their citizenship of wherever they currently live. The country could soon "support" millions who in turn support the island country with modest donations in exchange for the advantage of being a citizen of a country that exists to maintain truly limited government. The biggest expense would be the cost of producing official passports!

How about start as a micronation? I was in a few different micronational projects already. A micronation can have diplomatic relations with other micronations, it's pretty cool. I was an ambassador to another micronation.

It will most likely start as that, since a micronation is a nation not recognized by the major world powers.

I think we could take over Cuba. Their military is weak and the Cuban people are starving. They would welcome our free and open economy with enthusiasm.
