We have a shot at 2016!!!!

Seriously good idea. The Fox News machine will try to turn on Rand, maybe sooner rather than than later. Having an established reputation for the candidate ahead of the press attack is essential. The more we bolster his reputation early, the better.

If Rand Paul keeps talking about expanding the map w/ credible points it is possible they will not.

Even CNN is pushing "Rubio 2016" today. They are giddy over it.
CNN points out that the GOP is demographically challenged and doesn't reflect the country and they try to make the connection to expanding that base you have to run moderate republicans and ethnic minorities.

They never attended a Ron Paul rally though. Libertarianism brought in all demographics and that is the way forward for the GOP.

LOL, sorry to burst all your bubbles but Rubio, Ran , Cruz or anyone who does not vote closely as the Good Doctor did
will not have the full support of the Ron Paul R3voultion . ;)

I'll try just as hard for 2016 with Rand.

But my takeaway from this election is that you just can't beat a candyman giving out free shit. As long as half of the country is getting free shit, they won't vote out the party giving it away.

Now maybe the crash will come before 2016, then we can win. If not it will be more of the same old and we'll put up the good fight.

And then they will lose again. I stand resolute. Constitution or bust.

What makes you think anywhere close to a majority of Americans are pro-Constitution? A pro-Constitution candidate might be enough to bring people like us on board, but there's no evidence that would be enough to win an nationwide election.

I heard this same kind of argument 4 yrs ago. I said it wouldn't work then, and I say the same thing now. We need a totally new strategy. Even taking over the GOP won't be enough this time.

Remember what we're competing against: promises of free stuff stolen from others, printing money by the truckload, corruption, huge government handouts to corporations, union thugs at the polling places, media who are in love with the Left's agenda, and on and on...

They lost against the worst President in American history didn't they?

Okay am I the only person who realizes we need to do more than hope the GOP is going to let us pass through a candidate they want? Am I fucking blind or something? They fucking STOLE the election from Paul. I'm not waiting until i'm 60 years old and all the old GOP people croaked.

The election was not stolen from paul. He was treated unfairly, but (I hope) we all know he wasnt going to win. I have always seen this as movement, not 1 election.

Worst to those like us, yes. Most of America clearly doesn't feel the same way. Many people love him and think he's doing a wonderful job.

Until we come to terms with that and the reasons why, we will never be able to put forward the right candidate, platform or strategy, much less actually win.

Are you sure they were voting for him because they loved him or were they just picking the side they always pick. As in hair color, eye color, blood type, party affiliation....practically in their DNA. They are more likely to choose a different religion than change their party allegiance. I thought people stopped loving Presidents with JFK, or maybe it wasn't until after he was shot that everybody "loved" him? How should I know, I wasn't even born yet.

I'm engaging the romney bots that were resisting me prior to the election. the seem to be very interested in what i have to say now.
you should try talking to people now. relate to their anger and tell them you have a way to get things on track. get them involved with yourself politically.
i'm getting people involved with project sans lube. this could be epic.

Seems to me that very few actually loved Obama, it seems more that it was all about "our bad guy vs their horrible guy" and just like those who hated Romney acted like Romney-worshippers as we got close to the election, so did those lukewarm on Obama suddenly behave like Obama-worshippers.

Remember that his primary growth demographic was a demographic that Paul would have taken from Obama.

You are absolutely right. Right now my neocon mother-in-law who didn't turn on Fox News today for the first time in years because she is so depressed about the election is asking me all sorts of questions about the electoral college and I sent her some links from Ron Paul on Lew Rockwell. I can tell she might actually be listening as opposed to just hearing me now. I showed her a video last time she came over about the Non-Proliferation treaty and how the United States is actually violating it by sanctioning Iran, who is not in violation of it whatsoever. The trick is to mention brief things and let them sort it out later by themselves. If you're too preachy (especially with the older crowd) they stop listening. The link to the video is here: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24AMP_bttd8) but I don't want to hijack this thread because it is very good. This is a unique window of opportunity for all of us. We must lay off the "I told you so! The GOP deserves it!" comments, present them with some good thought provoking material and we can make some REAL progress here.

for some reason I'm still ready to go unlike last time when I just completely zoned out for awhile.
