The longer he hangs around, the more people will hear his message. TOP 3 is just fine! Getting humbled is the best thing that could happen to us. BACK TO THE GRIND!!!!!

Stop it. Iowa matters and we all know it. This is a disappointment, and sugarcoating it isn't going to help. This isn't pessimism, this is being realistic.

Yes, Santorum is going to get vetted and knocked out of the top tier, and it's going to be a two-man race. However, we just lost a huge amount of momentum, which would be nice when we end up facing Romney.

More than doubled support and caused neocon media/GOP estblishment to be in pre-emptive panic for sometime besides waking up lots of people.

Note to GOP establishment, you were right, Iowa is irrelevant
Don't take your guard off yet, Santorum like Gingrish, Cain, Perry, Bachmann will end up being a flavor of the month.
Romney is consistently at same levels and Paul is consistently growing his support. GOP/neocon's headache is same place it was yesterday.

We doubled what we did 4 years ago!! It's taking a while but we're gaining solid ground!!

McCain got 13% and 4th place in Iowa in 2008.

We have made large strides. I'm sorry you can't see that.

Well we have to be realistic. This loss in no way helps us. It hurts us -- pretty badly. There is, however, a chance that we pull out a nh victory.

We have to at least stick around until Nevada. We might be able to win the GOP nomination. We're on the rise, and we don't have any strong competition besides Romney. Remember how crazy the race has been thus far.

Also fuck you: CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNBC

But the perception was the key here, the perception that he could win - win anything. So the media can keep playing the narrative "see I told ya so RP can't win, he's 'unelectable' and this proves it" although they've been saying for weeks that Iowa doesn't matter..

What's this "we" stuff? I said early on that a victory was not a be all end all. I also said stop with this youth and progressive voter nonsense and that to win in a Republican primary Paul has to win or at least be competitive with the OLD PEOPLE because they vote.

I was ignored all on fronts. Why?

Yes, we got nailed with the media pumping Santorum during the last week. But if Paul pushed his anti-abortion stance and promoted his bring the troops home to save SS, Medicare and Medicaid, we would have built a solid wall to prevent that artificial Santorum surge.

Seriously, do I need to be running the campaign? It's so elementary. :roll eyes:

Remember, this is not the general election we are running in for the next few months.

There is no comparison to McCain... This was a needed first step, there isnt a close state for awhile from here, this was key step #1.

McCain is a hard core, war mongering, party first, neo-con. Ron has none of those attributes. You are comparing apples and oranges.

I'm sorry if you can't see that.

I think this was a pretty amazing finish. We had the media doing everything to Ron Paul everything in the book. Things they would never do to any other candidate and things most people would be ashamed at if done to any other person.

I'm glad we forced the media and others to expose and degrade themselves in such a dishonorable and unprecedented manner. We know and saw how intolerable Ron Paul is to the powers that be and I'm glad they showed the rest of the world how much they hate freedom. They hate it so much that a "liberal" network would rather pump up a hypocritical theocrat that most CNN journalists would be appalled by on any other day over someone that only promises fealty to the Constitution.

I welcome their hate and look forward to Ron Paul continuing to spread our message of liberty one-by-one until we can overthrow their propaganda machine. We were only a few percentage points away in Iowa. Whether it's later in this campaign or more likely another We Shall Overcome.

A fine base is being made and will continue to be enlarged throughout this campaign. We have what they never will. Our dedication to Liberty will overcome the media and the establishment.

Onward.

I I I. Me me me. This is a lot bigger than you.

We did great. We showed despite the media, we can pull out strong. Yes we have 3rd place, but look how close it is. And from the looks of it, Santorum will have the most votes, so that will make Romney look weak. Also, we got more counties on the map than Romney, which shows Romney just poured all his effort into population centers. If these were the states, it wouldn't matter what the popular vote was.

It wouldn't be that bad if Ron Paul hadn't publicly said he would disappointed with 3rd...
