So here's what happens if Ron Paul goes third party.
First, the republican party kicks him out. On his ass. I mean, this is called King Making , and it would all but gurantee that the Democrats would win.
My analysis of your analysis.
Well, he has never been accepted in the Republican party (only in his congessional district), so you can't get kicked out of somewhere you have never been in. To be honest, even if Dr. Paul doesn't run 3rd party, the dems will win it. I rather see the dems win because they have always been liberal and not hypocrytes and the Reps paint themselves with the "conservative" brush but are in reality a whole bunch of hypocrites. Besides, I would have a grudge on them for not nomination Paul.
"Second, he loses the general election anyway. In some states he doesn't even get to run because he entered those states as a republican and is not the republican candidate. You'll have to write him in there."
Educate supporters about writting him in.
"Third, he then loses his house seat because republicans in texas are now pissed off that he's handed the election to socialists on a silver platter. "
He's 72, how long do you think he can hold the good fight in the House of Reps anyway.
"Fourth, he then gets buried by all the pundits as a wishy washer.. and he vanishes from the political mindset entirely, and his message DIES."
Supporter will demand coverage or threaten boycotts all over the states.
"That's what happens right now if he goes 3rd party. The man is 72 years old. This was his swan song."
Wrong on all assessments bro. He's got the ending years of his political life investested in the presidency, or should I say the last intent in saving the country. He will fight for it. And I'm with him. (sorry about the quotes)
