Do the overall number of voters strike anyone else as incredibly small for something that comes every four years? My cousins high school football games get more attendees 10 Saturdays a year than this vote for an entire state.

Between LOTS of 0 voting precincts (all coming in all at once since they would be the ones to "count" fastest) and just simply what it takes to try to do on the fly, real time updating in the media.
