***: There wasn't a public vote in my precinct. It was a pooled caucus with over 200 people participating. The votes were put in envelopes. The caucus chair was a Ron Paul supporter, and I personally rode in the car with her when she delivered the envelopes to the King County GOP headquarters; we had a sheriff follow us for verification. Unfortunately, they counted the entire county (King County) behind closed doors, but they had a member from each campaign monitor the vote counting. I personally met and talked to this individual, and she assured all of us Ron Paul supporters that it was a well-run process and that she felt confident in it. So, I did my very best to watch the vote for District 37, even though I can't give numbers.

***: I know it sounds fishy, and we all wanted the counting of the votes to be public, but the KCGOP chair would not have that. She took authority and threatened to remove us if we continued to protest.
HOWEVER, our worries were qualmed by the official Ron Paul campaign. AND the monitor was a very competent woman who personally assured us that it was an open and legitimate vote counting process with checks and re-checks.
Just to add: they had one person from each district doing the actual counting, some of which were Ron Paul supporters. I really don't think there were any shenanigans. I just think the KCGOP chair has bad manners and an attitude problem
