Well I cast my vote here in Va. Nobody hardly there at my precient cause when I walked up to the table the lady checked me off as voter #46. Oh she also said to me COVER your RP buttons!! Went over to the lovely fraud machine to input an access code to get the selection up. Just didn't feel right and gave me the willies.... upon exiting the was a sign that said NO LIT and NO CAMPAIGNING

While waiting in my doctors office there was an issue of Time on young voters and who they support. Talk about an extermely bias article. Everything was about OBAMA and how he appeals to young voters. Oh, there was mention of Ron only to say WE are LONG in passion but SHORT on people!! (blood starts to boil) The artical states MOST of college geeks in the country are routing for Obama than any other canidate runing. Oh then it had one of those bar graphs for the issues and low behold the #1 issue, not the ECONOMY, not this contrived WAR (that was 2nd) but health care at 70%...WTF!?!

Yea I admit health care is important and dam near cost an arm and a leg to keep at 1100 a mo but come on there are more pressing matters than this!!! I have nothing against Obama. I think he speaks well and addresses issues that are important, especially what matters to young Amercians. I painfuly listened to his speech that was on CNN in Richmond and he seemed to say all the right things that we would want to hear. Sorta along the lines of everybody has the right be able to get ahead in life and Im thinking to myself, well if you get in you better do it and not just be saying it like the rest have done. All in all I have deduced IF Obama wasn't in this race WE would have had MOST if not all young voters across the nation!!! I feel he has siphoned those voters that would have embraced Ron as the younger voters ONLY choice to support.

Maybe I'm all off base but the camp we were hoping to score is with Obama instead. Im not forgetting that he has huge support of the blacks, but this article in Time was not about black, white, hispanic just YOUNG voters and they were ALL for Obama. There is something magnetic thats captured what we want to aquire, I guess he's young, black and its CHARISMA. So if there was NO OBAMA this factor wou'ld have been in Ron's favor. Anyway if he really wins I hope he's not a sell out and lives up to his words.

I'm still voting Ron Paul or Libertarian regardless the outcome. I'm just wishing OBAMA wasn't in this picture but still I gotta say if its him much better than Hitlery or Mcwar by far!!! In closing I gotta say lets make WAVES for this march coming up eveybody that can possibly come here to make our statement to the heart of this establishment, do what it take to get here and JAM THIS CITY UP!!! I have never marched before and don't really like crowds but I woudn't miss this for anything!!! I hope to see a spectacle of MILLIONS of you here to show our dissatisfaction with the establishment. LETS MAKE HISTORY!!!!!

Ron Paul for the LONG HAUL

I guess he's young, black and its CHARISMA.

One of these 3 adjectives will explain why the youth of America likes Obama.

And, btw, can ONE Obama supporter actuallly tell us what he stands for?

Obama stands for Change. I don't know what that means cause even he doesn't.

Obama has the support because he is IN THE NEWS ALL THE TIME. ON TV, IN PRINT.

RON IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. Obituaries get more coverage.

Yes, because supporting Obama is the 'in' 'hip' thing to do, so all the airheads are supporting him. Even the high school kids. It's the Facebook people.

My 21 year old college girl who supports Ron Paul, of course, says all the Obama supporters know nothing about the Issues. It's a popularity contest.

And in my 12 year old's class at Waldorf -- the teacher is very impressed with my daughter, who actively supports Ron Paul with me (was in the float at the parade, on the mall giving out information, in the newspaper, etc.) and she knows all the issues and where he stands on them. But all the other kids in the class are for Obama because the other kids parents are for Obama, because they would never vote for another Republican, no matter who it is. This is in Virginia, BTW. Charlottesville is total Obama and McCain.

His wife Michelle is on the board for The Chicago Council on Global Affairs which is an arm of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has more lobbyists in his pocket than Hillary. Yet he says he doesn't take money from lobbyists.

i'm a young person and i think its obvious why young people support obama.
1) young people are usually liberals
2) young people want CHANGE they want to be different than the generation before them;
3) young people are usually optimistic

Now, obama is a young, optimistic, charismatic candidate who's slogan is change. and of course, he's a liberal. It's too obvious.

They're too young to remember that Clinton wasn't a bad prez especially compared to George W., and I'm a republican saying this.

Hillary ain't Bill.

Bill Clinton had a ton of charisma, Hillary has NONE. Bill, for all his faults, was also very smart (you have to be bright to remember your lies and keep your story straight while giving testimony, lol). Bill was also far more moderate.

If Bill Clinton was running today, I suspect he'd get the nomination easily and crush McCain like a bug.

But Hillary ain't Bill...

So it looks like we will have Obama vs McCain...pray for America!

exactly. and it's not just airheads. a lot of college students who've been brainwashed by our liberal-biased education system think obama is the greatest ever. young liberals seem to think republicans are uncool, and stupid. Obama, to them, is the opposite.

Clinton wasn't a bad president because we had a republican controlled congress at the time that wouldn't let him get anything done.

He still managed to mess around militarily in foreign countries a lot.

Hardly. Clinton looted Social Security to balance the budget and got us into multiple undeclared wars. Even then, he was on a leash because of the Republican controlled Congress. If he wasn't, Hillarycare would be in effect.

I almost hope that Obama is the next president just to see those fools realize that their candidate is a wolf in sheep's clothing as he trailblazes the way into recession and war.

its all indoctrination

Well there ya go, couldn't have said a better word than "popularity" and thats always the way its been INSTEAD of the real issues at hand. Im so SICK and TIRED of this crap

Yes I would be impressed too and sounds like she isn't going to be like most kids that are trained to be indoctrinated in school. I know there are some that are able to resist but most go with the flow in the end, but with kids like yours they will break through to the hard heads that just have no clue whats going around them. Its things like this that do give me give me hope for the future in the face of the NWO agenda and thier plan to implement the NAU:D

Well this says what I said above about INDOCTRINATION obvioulsy and neo con republicans have given the impession of runing the country. Thats why the dems are sweeping. Just lump it all in with RP because he is the only real republican indoctrine.... Yea the average American is pretty much BRAINDEAD and can't discern from logic!! Til we can shake the MSM tree this cycle of indoctrination and brainwashing will continue to take control and drive how the world is run and perceived. Our war is with MSM as well!!!!

Obama's a warm fuzzy next to Ron Paul's nails on the chalkboard.

With Ron Paul, you know exactly what you are getting.

With Obama, he opens his mouth and says "Change" and people applaud him without knowing what he means by it.

And Obama has Zbignew (aka Zbiggy) Brezinsky advising him on foreign policy. I hope Alex Jones sneaks into Bohemian Grove again to film Obama posing at the owl statue wearing a bra and panties. It'll probably never happen. Jones won't be admitted there again, but that would be my audacious hope for America.

you need to listen to obama and read about his background more carefully

its obvious he is just spouting rubbish and making it sound nice because his entire background is as an academic bureaucrat. that mean he will be shackled and led around like a sheep by the lobby interests and will never be able to implement any useful solutions.

god the american kids are dumb.

Thats just CLASSIC!!!!! I nearly wet myself after reading that and WE can hope too LMAO!!!!:D:eek::rolleyes:

Obama is a detestable used car salesman (redundant) of a politician (okay, extra redundant). Do folks really not know that he voted to renew the PATRIOT Act? Or about that "97% down the party line" figure for his voting record?

What a loser.

Its about time there starts to be threads bashing young people. Can only blame the elderly unfairly for so long.

I think one of the things we are fighting against is the massive negativity towards the GOP. Obama pulls in the young voters because a lot of them grew up during the Bush years. They may not be all that bright, but they know exactly how much Bush screwed this country.

With that in mind, they see McCain as a Bush+Cheney hybrid. Now take the past 8 years and add into that a possible McCain presidency, an you have people running away screaming from the republicans doing anything and everything in their power to make sure a republican does not get elected.

Even though Ron Paul attracts a number of smart young people, the fact of the matter is the republicans managed to leave such a bad taste in mouth of America that they're willing to vote for anybody other than a republican.

Again, just look at the democratic turnout vs. the republican turnout. The republicans this year will be completely obliterated, as even moderates will vote for the democrats. The motto is "Anyone but a republican".

The GOP will be severely weakened this year. It will be our time to strike. We could actually see the libertarian party become a serious contender as conservatives continue to hemorrhage from the base. But the democrats will most likely remain in power for at least 8 years In my opinion.
