Perhaps I'm giving Ron Paul too much credit, but I think he's playing this masterfully. 4 years of truth bombs -- the 'seeds', if you will. Strong truth - so strong it can piss people off (see Rudy Giuliani, etc.) but also gets in people's heads. Let it seep. Hit them again and again. What sounded bizarre on first, and maybe even 24th listen, becomes less so the 25th time... blowback, for example, is a much more accepted term.
And now that we're in the middle of the election... refine. Start introducing 'declare. win. leave.' Tie it to specific current events. This sort of refinement would have been less meaningful when people were still kneejerk closeminded to it. But now? People, even people that don't like Ron Paul, want to hear him out. Just imagine the reporters that go to cover his rallies... how many converts has Ron Paul made of them? Sure, they might not be able to be exactly open about it... but there's got to be only so many times you can hear the call of liberty before it speaks to you.
I think we've turned a corner. Let's win this thing.
