Video: Ron Threatens GOP with Independent Run? [youtube]

I know, I loved it- when they pulled the camera back and showed the whole group of candidates you could see the others intently staring at Ron- their body language just spoke of, "Oh shit." I love the "keep them on their toes"....Ron has them by the balls and he gets stronger eveyday. What will Mitt and McCain do in a week after the Goul and Huckabee are gone? Then it will just be RP on stage with the two of them...

"Keep laughing, buddy."

Yes it was quite a profound statement. He said just what everybody up there has been thinking and just didn't want to say it or even have it heard. He actually gave the Democrats props for doing things that the Neocons have pushed aside and outlined the entire problem with the GOP's current platform. Seemed like all the candidates were quite attentive during this response.

Once again the Doctor educating like it's a K-5 class. :D

Yeah exactly. I have NEVER seen the other candidates listening as carefully to Ron as they did with this question!

That clip was almost as funny as the one where Paul asks McCain the question and before the question is asked McCain starts getting all fidgity, his eyelids blinking like crazy wondering, Christ, what is he going to ask me? At this point I am split over whether I want Huckabee and the Goul out...I' like to have each of them win a couple of states to keep he delegates split up- but having Ron left with Mitt and McCain would be great because the majority of the party hates both of them.

Holy crap.
That was great, and should be required watching for every registered Republican in the nation.
I love this man.

You wired me awake
And hit me with a hand of broken nails
You tied my lead and pulled my chain
To watch my blood begin to boil
But Im gonna break
Im gonna break my
Im gonna break my rusty cage and run
Too cold to start a fire
Im burning diesel burning dinosaur bones
Ill take the river down to still water
And ride a pack of dogs
Im gonna break
Im gonna break my
Im gonna break my rusty cage and run
Im gonna break my
Rusty cage and run
When the forest burns
Along the road
Like gods eyes
In my headlights
When the dogs are looking
For their bones
And its raining icepicks
On your steel shore
Im gonna break
Im gonna break my
Im gonna break my rusty cage and run

Hahahaahaaa I love watching RP speak truth on stage around the other candidates, they get all nervous - wide awake, thinkin sheeeeeeet

RP Rocks

I missed the last fifteen minutes of the debate. Wow, this statement says it all...dem playbook, Kucinich supporters, and why the repub party is broken. I hope the older repubs in FL realize just how genuine RP is. I loved the question he gave McCain. LOL...the other post (exactly what I was thinking: McCain "Oh Shit what is Ron gonna ask me?) what for it McCain. I loved how McCain referenced RP in his answer as a core indivdual who believes in lower taxes. "You where there Ron" I would love to see the question and McCains answer again.

How does the republican party hate McCain and Romney. They are the ones leading everything.
Let me clarify that...the members of the Republican party who left between present day and 2000. I am registered Republican and consider myself a Republican but I will vote for Obama before I vote for any of the other clowns running for the Republican nomination. The party has shrunk by what? 25-30 percent in the past 10 years? In closed primary states those folks can't vote for RP but they will vote for him in the general election.

Those who buy into the Foxnews and Bush are Gods camp support Romney and McCain, however since only 20% of the country as a whole supports the president, that leaves 80% of the people who reject the Bush third term we'll have if those two are elected.

I think a better visual would be the look four used car salesman would have on their faces if, in the midst of trying to sell a pile of shit to a customer, the fifth salesman walked out of the office and told the customer, "Don't buy this one. The tires are bald, the brakes don't work and the engine won't start. But other than that, it is fine."

That's what the other four are trying to tell us, the pile of shit they have on the lot is actually an S-class Mercedes when it is actually a Pinto.

This was a very interesting response, and definitely a warning shot over the bow.

They need to be scared. If Ron Paul runs independent, they know they have absolutely NO change of winning the general election. Not that they do anyways if Ron Paul is not the nominee.

All I know is, if Ron Paul does not win the nomination...IT IS ON.

Right on!

Exactly! I am sure if RP is given a fair shot, I think he wouldn't go third party. However, they way everyone has been treating him, he can screw up the Republican party.

However, McCain is the only other Republican canidate that can win the general election. Romney is too much of a Republican for Independents to vote for him (given that 2/3 of independents are voting Democrat).

McCain cannot win the general election. Period.

The war is the most devise thing for Americans right now, and McCain is for it.

Plus, McCain is and idiot when it comes to the economy. No amount of coaching can make of for lack of intelligence. And the economy, along with the war in Iraq, will be the two main issues of this election.

The only reason that McCain has done well with some independents so far is because they still remember the McCain of 2000 who was, at the time, a more moderate republican. But that was before the war and before a bad economy. When people look at him again, which they will before they vote in the general election, they will change their mind.
