McCain cannot win the general election. Period.

The war is the most devise thing for Americans right now, and McCain is for it.

Plus, McCain is and idiot when it comes to the economy. No amount of coaching can make of for lack of intelligence. And the economy, along with the war in Iraq, will be the two main issues of this election.

The only reason that McCain has done well with some independents so far is because they still remember the McCain of 2000 who was, at the time, a more moderate republican. But that was before the war and before a bad economy. When people look at him again, which they will before they vote in the general election, they will change their mind.

I thin the only way McCain can win would be if Hillary were the nominee- but it would be the most brutal ugly campaign in recent memory, they would bring up his Keating 5 scandal all over and the only way he could win is if Ron Paul didn't run.

I didn't see the entire debate tonight so I don't know how McCain treated Ron, but in the last debate all the other candidates piled on RP- Romney, the Ghoul, Thompson with his smart ass remarks- but McCain didn't touch him. He knows that if RP runs as a 3rd party cadidate he is SOL- the rest figured it out toight.
