[Video] Ron Paul on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno 9/26/13

Didn't Obama opt out some part of Hollywood from having to participate in ObamaCare? Or did I imagine that?

Ron Paul on Leno

He is killing it. Not backing down from his principles, as usual. I am not sure if Leno is being ingenuous or if he is trying to hack the ass kicker that is Ron. Leno just used a seatbelt analogy to justify state power, disregarding the fact that people like to be safe all on their lonesome.

It was a hack job gone wrong, nice try leno. Julia Louise Dreyfus was on too, acting like a typical rude prick.

As always with Leno, it was an excellent interview. Answered some questions about Rand, Cruz, etc. Talked a little about his new book. Overall, a great segment.

Leno has always been fair to Ron and what in heck did Dreyfus do besides shake Ron's hand at the beginning?

Don't be so rude to Leno, who has given Ron more chances than anyone in his position has.

Leno gives Ron a fair shot. I liken it to a few of the PBS interviews he has done.

Most everyone else tries their leading, presumptive bullshit to try and paint his position as radical or absurd.

I remember Ron getting some audience kudos for talking about not having a right over another individual.

I also wanted to tell you guys a funny story that I just remembered.

Jay, Julia, Ron and the band were taping promos and Ron was very stiff standing right next to Jay. Right after the first promo, Jay said, "its not a wax museum Ron" and everyone laughed, Jay laughed, Ron laughed and the entire audience laughed. Jay thought he was so funny he couldn't keep it together for the next take and Ron was super cute.

I don't think there was a big deal made of it here. I just didn't think he came across very well. Leno asked for him to give one line about each of the other candidates, and he didn't look very comfortable saying the things he said. Something about Bachmann hating Muslims was one of them. It looked to me like he was saying something somebody told him would be funny, and it just wasn't natural for him.

So basically, you just made up Benton telling him what to say? One thing about Ron is that he never let anyone give him advice on what to say or even how he phrased anything. At least he never took it. Of course, that was part of the problem, but that's not the point.

And furthermore, given what we know about Benton, why would anyone think he'd tell Ron to say that Bachmann hates Muslims? If anything, that's the type of thing that drove Benton up a wall.
