[Video] Rand Paul on The Situation Room w/ Wolf Blitzer 1/11/16

Let me quote myself

But he asked specifically three times at least, "So Fox contacted you and told you in advance you won't make the main stage? And this means you won't appear in the undercard?" To which Rand replied yes like two or three times, "We have a first tier campaign and we deserve no less than the 1st tier debate". Paraphrasing at best guys btw

Sorry, I didn't read it carefully enough.

Did he say whether he would participate in the under card debate or not?

If he did, I didn't hear it. He was more interested in making a case for why he should be on the main card (e.g. "bad math," inaccurate polls, he's the only one that brings an alternative view to the status quo, etc.), and how he will be protesting his exclusion.

I can't believe Kasich and Bush are still both ahead of Rand. SMH.

It's a goddamned fucking joke.

6 or 10 up there, who the fuck cares? Go the whole four fucking hours and give them all an equal chance and time.

Im fucking tired of the fuck faces at fox having so much influence.

He won't be participating.

To the average uninformed voter, they will think Rand is out of the race.

His campaign may as well be over now

Yeah, he should just pull out of Iowa; have his name taken off the ballot.

So he is going back on his word now and participating in the undercard? Or did Fox just throw him in that graphic to be safe?

Rand made it very clear that he will not be participating in the under card debate. Wolf asked Rand directly if he told Fox the same, that he wouldn't be participating in it, and Rand said yes, he is only participating if it's from the main stage. Fox must think he's bluffing

I must've missed the interview because CNN International didn't have Wolf on this past hour. So, what's going to happen with Rand? Will he boycott the undercard debate? Will he do a speech somewhere near the debate or hold a rally? :(

I think it's a mistake for him not to go up there (unless we cause hell and let the world know how upset we are...getting as much exposure on the news as possible), but they just put that graphic up on the Fox Business channel shortly after Rand's interview with Wolf. I'm not sure they know for a fact that he refuses to go in.

What's sickening is that he was probably less than a week away from jumping ahead of at least one of them in the polls (Bush/Carson/Christie).

Dobbs just said "Paul told CNN he won't participate" and one of the guys said "good riddance"... Then the others agreeing that he's not wanted.

Fox Business channel. They're still talking about him.

Edit: They were seriously clowning him for a few minutes. Saying things like:

- the polls tell you what the American people want...how can he have a top tier campaign?

- there's no enthusiasm with the "stand with Rand" crowd any more.

- Rand is not presidential at all. He just has a sour vibe to him.

- they shoukd bring his dad back...he was better than him.

I would think destroying Fiorina for 2 hours would be good for him. I don't know. I will still watch the main debate nanyways. I'm curious to see how it plays out. Don't forget Rand will likely be in all the way through Kentucky whereas 3 of the candidates on the main stage will be out after NH if not 4. My final 4 are Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and Paul.
