Took a while, but finally got all the way through @scotthortonshow's 10-hour appearance on @lexfridman's podcast, and I think Lex has done the Mises-sphere libertarians (and anti-war advocates of any political leaning) an enormous service with this podcast.

And I have to say, I get why Lex is popular now. Just an amazing job of asking the right questions and digging into the right topics. I really could not have asked for better. As such, I will no longer be entertaining accusations of astroturfed popularity, gate-keeping, or deep state involvement. I don't know how anyone could listen to even 1 hour of this podcast and still believe that Lex is somehow a plant put in place to control the counter-narrative. I never saw anyone back these claims up with anything more than basically "he's super popular and I don't get it so it must be fake". Well, I get why he's popular now, and I can't imagine why the war party would want anyone to help Scott put out the best possible 10-hour case against the foreign policy establishment that he could.

Lex is honest.
Lex is one of the good guys.
Not everything is an fn conspiracy.
