[Video] Rand Paul on Real Time with Bill Maher 11/14/14

Understand that it's actually a little simpler than that. He doesn't actually need them to cross over. He only needs them to stay home. They come out in droves because of the fear mongering done by the media against GOP candidates. If Rand even appears a little less scary, that will help him. If the left's voters are ambivalent about which candidate should win the Presidency, Rand's already a shoo-in.

You kidding me? Ayn-Rand Paul is the scariest dude out there. I mean, geez, the guy's a serial plagiarist and is against the Civil Rights Act. Not even a real board certified doctor! And, his freaking toupee man!
:)

Heh, not bad. Just add in a mention of how he and his alter-ego the Southern Avenger want a rematch on the Civil War and you'll have all the bases covered!

LMFAOOOOOOOOO

I was hoping that he would be a guest that was there and debated the dems at the table.

He might have come up with a better sound bite about how regulation can get in the way of entrepreneurship in energy technology, instead of defaulting to the bully example of clean dirt in a backyard. Seemed obtuse and Maher rightfully called him on it. Maher let him off the hook about how he intended to destroy ISIS.

Rand completely dodged the question about Republicans being too cozy with corporations and went into training prisoners with job skills. Maher let him off the hook again.

Maher was actually very funny when he said "you can stop referring to me as your buddy from high school."

Surprising that he said "end the war on drugs." I don't think he's ever really said that before. That could end up being controversial. It's the correct position, but I don't think he's ever been that bold on that before.

Good catch. I noticed that too but somehow repressed it. I am hoping what we're seeing Rand is selling his ideas incrementally so that they can be successfully assimilated by the masses and the media.

My guess is that if he's asked about it he'll say that ending the war on drugs doesn't mean "legalize all drugs," it just means "end the mass incarceration of thousands of non violent drug offenders." Still, I think this is the first time that he's ever used that specific terminology.
