Here's some information.
Be fast. It's like your on a mission to find the needle in a haystack. A lot of people won't pick up. When you do get someone, sometimes they hang up right away saying, "I don't take political calls," be like "If you support Ron Paul, you want to take this call!" or "This isn't really a political call."
I've cut short the script a lot. I usually say stuff like "Hi is this ____?" (or if someone of the wrong gender picks up, to save time I say, "Is this the ____ residence?") Then, "I am a VOLUNTEER (with emphasis on volunteer) with grassroots for liberty." We're looking for RP supporters in your area? Do you support RP?" If no. "Okay. Have a great day, and I hope you do consider supporting RP in the future as he is one of the few honest politicians we have." People are almost always polite. One time a lady said, "I support Obama." I said, "Well, I hope you consider voting for RP, because if elected, he would bring ALL the troops home IMMIDIATELY." Got her thinking. You know?
Also, I sometimes say have a great weekend instead of nice day. Be fast. Be polite. Don't waste calls. If someone picks up, you better get an answer out of them, because they might just be an RP supporter. And either way, you let people know that RP is honest and he's cool enough that people VOLUNTEER to help him. If you go fast, you can blow threw 50 calls in not even half hour.
I'll post results from today. I'm excited.
