Here's another one in our occasional posts about political odd couples: Turns out actor Vince Vaughn also likes GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul.

Vaughn, star of comedy films such as The Wedding Crashers and The Break-Up, is scheduled to introduce the Texas congressman tonight at the Liberty Political Action Conference in Reno.

"Ron and Vince are friends," says Jesse Benton, Paul's campaign chairman.

Vaughn hosted Paul and his wife, Carol, at the 2009 premiere of his movie, Couples Retreat, and endorsed Paul's book, End the Fed, as a "must read" for all Americans.

Paul, who is making his third presidential bid, is a longtime critic of the Federal Reserve Board and has been pushing for an audit of the central bank.

Actor Vince Vaughn to Introduce Ron Paul at LPAC 2011
Dr. Paul's friend to inspire liberty event attendees

LAKE JACKSON, Texas, Sep 16, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today that actor Vince Vaughn will introduce Dr. Paul at the Liberty Political Action Conference (LPAC).

The exchange will take place tonight, Friday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time in Reno, Nevada.

"Ron and Vince are friends, with Vince not merely interested in Dr. Paul's philosophy but he also graciously invited Dr. and Mrs. Paul to the premier of his film 'Couples Retreat,'" said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton, referring to the October 6, 2009 film premier in California.

Mr. Vaughn, for his part, endorsed Dr. Paul's 2009 book End the Fed with the following enthusiastic quote: "Everyone must read this book--Congressmen and college students, Democrats and Republicans--all Americans."

End the Fed was published in hardcover on September 16, 2009, exactly two years ago today, and debuted at number six on The New York Times Best Seller list.

Details of the Paul-Vaughn exchange are as follows. Time is Pacific.

Ok, so we now know there are at least 3 men in Hollywood:

Vince Vaughn
Barry Manilow
Jerry Doyle

Who is going to have the gonads to step forward next, I wonder?

Don't forget Jerry Doyle, he may mainly be a radio talk show host, but he's also an actor and pretty big in Sci-fi circles for his work on Babylon 5

Awesome. Just sent it to Drudge, but I don't think he will put it up, probably pushing our luck.

Andrew Breitbart, the author of Hollywood, Interrupted: Insanity Chic in Babylon, tells NRO that “the significance of this endorsement should focus not on who he endorsed but that he is deviating from the Hollywood leftist line.”

“This is huge,” Breitbart says. “I predict a creeping emancipation in the coming election cycle where a slew of closet conservatives, libertarians and political non-conformists alike throw caution to the wind and expose their rejection of the industry’s vindictive, near-totalitarian Democratic-party mindset. Good for Vince. And Barry Manilow, for that matter.”

Of course it shouldn't focus on WHO he endorsed! Gimme a break, Andrew. If he endorsed Perry, that would be a huge deal, huh? Good for Vince and Barry, but not good for Ron? Can't give credit where credit is due?

I'm really enthused about the recent endorsements coming Ron Paul's way, it is wonderful to finally see some celeberties take notice of him.

Mind you I could care less for most celeberties or such but I realize that many other voters do, so I am still happy about it.

Now Clint Eastwood would make my day...

That's pretty big. No offense to Barry, but this kind of blows that out of the water. lol! :D I wish someone could get video of it uploaded and spread it to the media. It might even make sites like TMZ.

Vince Vaughn should bring in a hole lot of votes, or at least make alot of people look

Don't forget Joe Rogan, and now only if Chuck Norris and Clint Eastwood would have the balls to come out and endorse Ron. If that happened the you know what would be hitting the fan. "Tough Guys" endorsing Ron Paul??? But he's for pulling out the troops" "hmmmm"
