US goes to war with Iran

You didn't consider your comparison very well, did you?

Your silly spin can't conceal the obvious.

The US to Japan in 1945: You started this. We can keep doing it indefinitely. Just stop.

Iran to Israel today: You started this. We can keep doing it indefinitely. Just stop.

LOL

That's exactly the opposite of the truth.
That's what Israel is saying, Iran is running around trying to get a peace deal but demanding instant relief before talks start, just like Zelenski in Ukraine.

I am not a military planner but I would assume they have Stormbreaker glide bombs on the Gerald Ford carrier plus some Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Plus there are B2 Stealth Bombers that can drop massive ordinance penetrators.

F-35 With the latest beast mode hardware upgrades and F22 aircraft with the latest 5.5 gen upgrades that can escort the stealth bombers the B-2 and B-21.

Plus we probably even have some other platforms that don't get published that can be battle tested. You know like iron man style jetpacks and energy weapons and hypersonic missles.

Trump already said 2 weeks. It's common knowledge that Israel doesn't have enough interceptors to last 2 more weeks.

This latest round is already winding down.

Israel bombed Iran's missle launchers and missle stockpiles last night. They took half of them out.

They dont need to intercept the missles if tbey bomb them. That's why Iran was trying to use so many in the first place. Its use them or lose them.

Trump is right that Iran is weeks away from a nuclear weapon.

And the people who said that years ago, were also right.

Simply put, once you can enrich Uranium to 60%, as Iran can, it takes very little development to turn that into a weapon. A few weeks for a rudimentary nuclear weapon.

The fact that Iran hasn't done this yet, and probably isn't going to any time soon, doesn't change the fact that Iran is weeks from a nuclear weapon in terms of development time.

And considering that Iran is playing games with the IAEA and not allowing them the access that they have agreed to, Trump's position seems actually pretty reasonable to me.

I'm not saying it's right but it's reasonable. A heck of a lot more reasonable than the justification for Iraq.

Limiting the number of countries with access to nuclear weapons is an important concern, as is reducing the number of nuclear weapons total.

Is Trump's way the right way to go about it? Probably not. But Iran is fucking around, and they're certainly at risk of finding out.

Full translation of Medvedev statement. I think he only posted it on VK ?

Sometimes it is useful to ask simple question.

Does Iran have nuclear weapons? We do not know, but we know that Israel has a secret nuclear program. Well, let them jointly abandon such programs under the supervision of the UN Security Council and the IAEA.

Why is Tel Aviv allowed, but Tehran is not? In previous years, such a refusal was called the "zero option". Great?

Of course they will refuse. And no strikes will help here - 100%. Tehran sees its survival in the nuclear program. And it will continue it at all costs. Try to take away nuclear weapons from real, including new, members of the nuclear club!

But if you try to destroy the entire program, as Israel does and, perhaps, with the help of the United States, then Iran (if it has nuclear weapons) will definitely use them! And if not, then it will restore this program at any cost. Netanyahu will go, but Iran will remain. Led by a new ayatollah...

Tass mentioned it. They also seem to expect Iran to strike Dimona a lot harder.
Tass does not quote the entire post. The translation above is from Google Translate.

I've also heard that if the US strikes with its assets in Saudi Arabia, Iran may invade from the ground.
Word is that Iran currently has 700,000 troops at the ready.

The U.S. successfully bombed three Iranian nuclear sites – Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan – according to U.S. President Donald Trump, who said a full payload of bombs were delivered on the sites.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter," he posted on Truth Social on Saturday.

The strikes come 48 hours after he said the U.S. was allowing a two-week window for last-ditch diplomatic efforts, though he took a skeptical tone on the prospects of diplomacy following Iran's meeting with European powers in Geneva, Switzerland on Friday.

Looks like Iran is in the "find out" phase

Bush Sr. promised that there would be a New World Order. Unlike "no-new-taxes", he at least kept his word on that.

Ain't it funny how people get all huffy about the low-hanging fruit but not the major things that will devastate their and their children's lives.

I guess I'm a globalist in some regards. Specifically, two things. Nuclear weapons and manufactured pathogens. Noone should have or pursue or be allowed to have or pursue either of those things.

I consider these the "major things that will devastate their and their children's lives".

Think of it like you do the 2nd Amendment, then apply to other places around the world. That's what I do. At least then you'll be consistent and not a flip-flopper like Mitt and Don.

I'm a pretty firm believer of the 2nd amendment but if my neighbor was stockpiling huge amounts of TNT right next to me and storing it in an obviously dangerous way, I'm sure as shit putting a stop to that.

Nuclear weapons are like that on a global scale.
