US goes to war with Iran

Those of you who keep insisting the US is going to get involved are ignoring the elephant in the room. Israel is almost out of interceptors. They can't continue any longer or risk major damage. The usual playbook is to "declare victory" and stop bombing for now.

I am not a military planner but I would assume they have Stormbreaker glide bombs on the Gerald Ford carrier plus some Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Plus there are B2 Stealth Bombers that can drop massive ordinance penetrators.

F-35 With the latest beast mode hardware upgrades and F22 aircraft with the latest 5.5 gen upgrades that can escort the stealth bombers the B-2 and B-21.

Plus we probably even have some other platforms that don't get published that can be battle tested. You know like iron man style jetpacks and energy weapons and hypersonic missles.

They don't want peace.

They want to stall until the US can get into position.

President Trump then revealed for the first time that U.S. officials have already been holding talks with Iran.

“We’re ready, willing, and able, and we’ve been speaking to Iran, and we’ll see what happens,” he added.

Another reporter asked for his “thought process” behind offering a two-week window to weigh whether he proceeds with direct attacks on Iran. Trump clarified that he hopes it is enough time for “people to come to their senses.”

On Friday, emissaries from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany met with Iranian officials for high-level talks, which they framed as an accomplishment that President Trump could not make.

Asked if he thought the talks in Geneva were helpful, Trump replied immediately, “No, they didn’t help. Iran doesn’t want to speak to Europe.”

Aaaaand according to that very source, they accomplished nothing, just like the Europeans:

“We do not want to negotiate with anyone while the Zionist regime’s aggression continues,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on state television Friday.

“The demand for an end to this war has already begun,” Araghchi added. “It shows how effective the resistance of the Iranian people has been and will be.”

However, a senior Iranian official said on Friday that, should Trump be able to bring about an end to Israel’s bombing, it would be open to discussing a permanent end to its nuclear program.

Trump, yes, or anyone else. So is Trump more likely to pull it off than anyone else? Again, from that very article:

“Will you make that request?” a journalist asked about whether he would ask Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from further bombing.

“Well, I think it’s very hard to make that request right now,” explained Trump. “If somebody’s winning, it’s a little bit harder to do than if somebody’s losing.”

Trump won't even point out to Netanyahu that he's losing.

Israel isn't losing, and Trump is trying to make a peace deal.
Iran is being exactly like Zelenski with the insane demand that there be a ceasefire in order to have talks, in both cases it's because they are losing, a winner would be happy to talk while continuing to win, it's a loser who wants a free time out just to talk.

Right, and you just keep telling yourself that the side not demanding a time out is losing and the side that is demanding one is winning.

Please tell me you're not serious.

So, that's why the US refused to negotiate a conditional Japanese surrender in 1945? Because we were losing?

You are kidding, right? Please tell me you're kidding.

So, that's why the US refused to negotiate a conditional Japanese surrender in 1945...?
We demanded an unconditional surrender, not a ceasefire, the same demand Israel is making.
Iran is demanding a timeout.
You didn't consider your comparison very well, did you?
