I am a delegate in MA, and am posting this on behalf of my sister in Ohio---where I am also from too.

Kathy (sister) is a new precinct leader in Ohio.

She has come down with pneumonia.

She just finished her round of meds...and intends to go out and about...but is still sick.

We all need to help her with gas and postage...as she has over 500 homes to reach--many rural.

I PLAN TO MATCH DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR any donation you can give her. $10. would help---that turns into an automatic $20.

She is the only one working her precinct in Wayne County.

I am a volunteer for Ron Paul 2008 and member of Wooster Ohio Ron Paul 2008 Meet-up http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1734

This is a new meet-up and you'll find me listed there as Kathy of Smithville.

I signed up as Precinct Leader last week and we are scrambling to gather materials, canvass, recruit volunteers and place ads. My area includes 543 registered voters, most of them long country roads.

To avoid breaking household budget, I've decided to ask for help. More materials are needed and funds to help with fuel costs too. The district coordinator is looking into a PAC which is fine, but it will take time which we do not have.

Ohio is an important state having 88 delegates up for grabs in March 4 primary. These are winner take all by Congressional District, mine being #16. If you're maxed out or unable to help with ground work, please give generously! We are so grateful for your donation and THANK YOU for supporting RON PAUL 2008!

I'll give her $10, but I hope she will sign up to be a delegate. That's the MOST IMPORTANT thing.

I canvassed 1,400 people in my precinct here in GA and ended up with NINE votes for RP. I'm thinking it takes person-to-person contact. (I just left custom slimjims on mailboxes.) Of course, only 158 people voted out of those 1,400, which made me feel a LITTLE bit better. But the results were less than encouraging after all that work. Not trying to be negative, but please, do TALK TO PEOPLE and pass out the DVDs.

BTW, I lived in Akron while growing up. My family is in Avon Lake and Ashland....Wooster is a very nice area. Good luck Ron Pauling!

yes, I agree the person to person is absolute best! That has been my intent all along however, after todays meetup its obvious the volunteer feet are just not there. I've been sick the past week and that's really setting me back on original plan to canvass. We are now down to two wks before primary so best way may be direct mail with follow up phone calls. The cost will actually not be that bad compared to long rural roads and price of gas. I have had so many contact me sending extra slim jims, signs, and one lady in Washington State is calling 50 for me today. My voice is better now that I can do more phoning this week too.

But....HEY.......YOU GOT NINE! And just think of all the others that have now heard of Ron Paul! That's an accomplishment alone! I have question out to the district coordinator on delegates for Ohio. Our process is not totally clear to me yet but if anything I can do in volunteering for it, you bet I will!

Our fearless leader Linda, just last couple days set up meet-up for the Ashland bunch. They've had a group of about 150 down there for a few weeks I hear! They have a meeting/straw poll going at local Eagles tomorrow night and have put word out for extras from our area for added support. Don't think we can do the poll part tho.

Materials are in place, and we hope to raise enough for postage and some newspaper ads to run in the local paper.
