The campaign turned out to not be in it to win it, so it becomes apparent why the official campaign shrugged and did nothing.
Which is very frustrating since this is now the second time in a row that the Ron Paul presidential campaign has taken a perfectly good opportunity and blown it.
I'm not saying it's obvious what the winning strategy would have been, but it's pretty clear the strategy they chose was a bad one. The only part of their strategy that was successful was the part the grassroots spearheaded, the delegate strategy, and then they blew that by not protecting the delegates.
