Yep. Many of us could see that he was a phony scumbag from day one.

Wasn't it during Rand's final debate that he said Cruz had an authenticity problem? He probably knew all all along. And early on, Walter Jones called for any candidate with skeletons in the closet to drop out. The Republican Party's indifference may have been what convinced Rand it was pointless to be part of this sham!

Jones was talking about the speaker race (Kevin McCarthy), not the presidential race. Walter has actually been complimentary of both Cruz and Trump, although he endorsed Rand Paul.

I doubt that there's many secrets among Congressmen. D.C. has always been a fairly Hedonistic place but I suspect that there's a gentlemen's agreement to keep it on the low down.

Having said that, Congress hates Cruz to such an extent that the agreement got put aside.

Great reason for Rand to refuse to support the eventual nominee! Also a great reason for Rand to reneg on any previous agreement about not running third party! The Libertarian party needs to nominate Rand Paul, now!

Call it my cynicism or my conspiracy-mindedness... but this whole thing is looking more and more like a setup.

From Trumps run, Ted Cruz playing spoiler to Rand, everything.

There is no way Cruz sleeps with FIVE women and keeps it secret. This has TPTB/Goldman smokescreen written all over it.

Am I off base here? It just doesn't make sense that it unfolds this way. I wouldn't vote for Cruz anyway, but this is overkill and almost obvious that something else is happening behind the scenes.

Many of us here could see it for years prior that Cruz is a fraud and was/is in the race to divert votes from Rand. Cruz's role is to play the anti-establishment candidate for the establishment as sort of a firewall to prevent outsiders like Rand, Trump or whomever else. If it was not the issue you speak of it would be Cruz's eligibility issues that would soon arise.

I believe Cruz is just a placeholder for the establishment until the convention. As I see it, Cruz and Trump will be so bloodied that by the time the convention comes around that they will have people begging for a traditional statesmen. This is when they will role out Jeb as the savior of the party. The pundits on FNC and Neocon talk radio will be in actual tears celebrating that day (people eat up this kind of social engineering). Levin, Beck and all the establishment sheep herders will be telling their followers this IS what we must do to save the nation.

The amount of brainwashing is so over the top across the media that you would think people would not buy into it. But it works. Just have a conversation with anyone and they are like trained seals echoing whatever talking points are being published at the time.

National Enquirer has some of the best journalists in the country. Broke the Gary Hart story. Were the ones who found the picture of OJ in wearing those "ugly ass" shoes. Broke the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. Broke Jesse Jackson love child story. Broke the Rush Limbaugh oxycontin story.

At the very least, the story is true enough that the National Enquirer's lawyers are positive that Ted has no grounds to sue.

She has denied. See the other thread, someone posted several of her tweets. Video below is Carpenter denying the allegations too. So far, this story is a hit piece unsupported by facts or evidence.
