Remember when Rand said Cruz had an “authenticity” problem?

This is not proof, but it certainly fits in with the accusations.

... A police report has revealed that cops once found the wife of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz with her head in hands beside a Texas expressway and was 'a danger to herself'.

According to the 2005 reportwhich DailyMail.com highlighted in June, Heidi Cruz, 43, had walked from her home after dinner on August 22. She then sat down beside N. Mopac and Enfield in Austin, at around 10pm.

While Mrs Cruz has not spoken out publicly about the incident, an adviser to her senator husband said she had experienced 'a brief bout of depression' ten years ago in response to questions about the police report.

A concerned passerby had made the call after spotting a woman in a pink shirt was just 'sitting in the area with her head in her hands.’…....

….....In comments made to BuzzFeed, Heidi Cruz's husband, Sen. Ted Cruz, released a statement about a period of their lives that the couple has not previously discussed in public.

‘About a decade ago, when Mrs. Cruz returned from D.C. to Texas and faced a significant professional transition, she experienced a brief bout of depression,' said Jason Miller, an adviser to the senator in the statement.

Like millions of Americans, she came through that struggle with prayer, Christian counseling, and the love and support of her husband and family.'

Mrs Cruz, who is highly successful lawyer in her own right and served under Condoleeza Rice in the National Security Council, is said to not want to speak about her recovery as she doesn't want to show off her own happy ending, a source told BuzzFeed.

Classic story of “husband behaves like prick, poor wife bears burden in silence, gives him another chance. Repeat...”.

This is a pretty sad situation for the wife, however I will be thrilled to see the phony Cuban/Canadian/American taken out of the political picture for good!

One concern, it turns Heidi Cruz into a very sympathetic figure and may lead to her rise in politics!

Something Very Off About The Ted Cruz Allegations

Call it my cynicism or my conspiracy-mindedness... but this whole thing is looking more and more like a setup.

From Trumps run, Ted Cruz playing spoiler to Rand, everything.

There is no way Cruz sleeps with FIVE women and keeps it secret. This has TPTB/Goldman smokescreen written all over it.

Am I off base here? It just doesn't make sense that it unfolds this way. I wouldn't vote for Cruz anyway, but this is overkill and almost obvious that something else is happening behind the scenes.

I kind of assume that any politician that they allow to do well has some kind of skeleton in their closet that they can bring out at any time in order to keep them in control. If he did, they've known the whole time and were just waiting to release it if needed, or maybe that was the plan all along.

I don't think it is out of character for him.. and it finally explains what happened to his wife.

Bullshit.. Mormons hate cheaters, and polygamy is a ex communicable offence.. but this isn't even polygamy, with polygamy the wives actually have a say in it.. and they probably like having extra help with the house work.

Utah voted against Trump because they view him as immoral.. but I think Cruz is more immoral than Trump, he just doesn't play it on tv. Or at least he doesn't speak it.. he sure comes off as a slimey dude to me.

The Mormon church doesn't endorse particular candidates, the guidance they tend to gives runs along the lines of voting for the person with the best character and morals.

Yep. Many of us could see that he was a phony scumbag from day one.

Wasn't it during Rand's final debate that he said Cruz had an authenticity problem? He probably knew all all along. And early on, Walter Jones called for any candidate with skeletons in the closet to drop out (edit - Jones was referring to those running for speaker of the house, not president?). The Republican Party's indifference may have been what convinced Rand it was pointless to be part of this sham!
