Lets imagine say Angola declared war on the US and never attacked a US property or assembled an army to ship over to the US for an attack, do you think the US should attack Angola?

I do understand that they were following orders, they had very little say in the matter. I don't necessarily blame them for what they were forced to do but at the same time I don't think it's appropriate to celebrate their bravery.

There is nothing illogical about what I am saying, this whole discussion is about the mural and my posts about it is very logical and without emotions. I see the immoral and destructive actions by the leaders and I without considering the individual soldier's intentions and motivations assess the policy. The war was unnecessary, the US was in no danger from the German people and their govt. They did not have to leave their homes to invade the country.

The OP title from Breitbart is misleading. It is not a “WWII” memorial mural. It just reflected student life at the time it was painted.

Its unfortunate you feel this way about my post, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings with my take because its no secret that I have always been against US involvement in WWII. I sympathize with the poor men who were put in the position but I do not celebrate the men who were forced to kill their brothers in Europe. Churchill and his army should have been allowed to lose that war and the Imperialist Britain allowed to fall.
