Some Straight Talk to the Anti-Free Traders

If we were to abolish the fed and adopt currency that is outside of the control of either the government or a government anointed central bank, like we once had, that move by itself would constitute a more potent change in the direction of globalism than any of these tariffs are in the direction of protectionism.

This talk about how protectionism plus capitalism will make a nation great is like a commercial claiming that some snake oil combined with eating less and exercising more will help you get in shape. Tariffs are the snake oil, and capitalism (especially free market capitalism) is the eating right and exercising more.

Central management of an economy, no matter what tools it uses, holds the economy back. It doesn't help it grow.

Bunk.
Capitalism is the nutrition, tariffs are the exercise, you need both to build muscle.

Free trade ALWYAS leads to economic, cultural, and political integration, then you have regional and global government.
And that's the real free trade agenda, that's what it always has been.
It also concentrates wealth and power in the top .01% of the global population and drives everyone else down into the dirt as slaves.

Trade has been globalized for hundreds of years.

Its only recently though we have been sent basically fake goods and opiates instead of money or necessary real goods.

Its mostly stuff we dont need and stuff designed to break and is unrepairable so we have to buy it over and over again.

People get a dopamine boost when they buy it and it breaks easily and then they need to buy it over and over again because it's designed not to be repairable.

I didn't say "trade" or "global trade", I said "free trade".
There's a difference, free trade destroys economic (and then all kinds of) independence while regular trade with tariffs and perhaps other necessary barriers does not.

"Economic independence" is poverty.

The creation of wealth requires the division of labor.

Bunk.

We have far more population and resources than is needed for the division of labor, and we were much wealthier when we were independent.
It's also just a fact that money and wealth are not everything, those who would trade independence for wealth will lose both and deserve neither.

Bunk.

Why do you begin your post agreeing with what was said with the word "bunk"?

Just trying to prove you didn't understand what you're replying to?

LOL

You really don't understand what is being said.
The claim was that we need free trade with the rest of the world for division of labor, I said we don't.

You're an arrogant idiot. Free trade doesn't have to cross borders.

Independence is another word for freedom.
Often it is. Not in this case though. Here it's a euphemism for imprisonment.

"Go me! I'm stuck in this prison. But at least I'm not letting myself enjoy the benefits that I could get from others outside this place!"

Bunk.

It's freedom from world government and foreign domination.

The freedom and independence is that we are preserving liberty and security for the next generation.

Calling security a prison isn't logical.

Security is higher up on the list of needs than plastic goods that break down in our environment and cause infertility and lower sperm counts.
