[tubez] Rand Paul talks about Ron and Newt on Hannity Radio (12/08/11)

This was very bad ass. Rand was getting Hannity to agree with him, to sound stupid, to stumble, perfect use of logic, smart guy. Hopefully Rand will go on the attack against Rom and Newt.

I was less than impressed with Rand in my past experience of having seen him on TV (with that Rachel Maddow or whatever her name is)
In that interview, she had him boxed in, and made him look bad. This is a time and topic where Ron would handle her better than Rand did.
For the record, for those who remember that interview and topic, I disagree with Rand and Ron on that topic. This is why they usually have a hard time with answering that issue.

Hannity has too much of an ego to be taken seriously. I might go as far to say that he's as bad as Trump when it comes to "crowing people". He doesn't outright do it, but his world is very black and white.

Lol, Hannity is "absolutely, 100% sure" there will be a trump debate. Good luck with that.

Hannity can say what he wants about having Newt and Romney on to ask them about their flip-flopping but it's obvious that he's just giving them (and others) a gentlemanly opportunity to bs their way out of it. And when anyone mentions this or that about those two and specifically Newt he goes on and on about how people can change their mind over time. Like, no way a politician would ever try and lie themselves out of a position, just an honest change of opinion. He sure is a "look on the bright side" kind a guy when dealing with rinos.

Because it sounded like he was pandering to Hannity at times. Otherwise, the interview was good because he got to plug the article.

I don't mind Rand being chummy with Hannity and other media personalities. It's good for the cause IMO

Generally how politicians work is they look you right in the face and smile as they're plunging the knife in your back. Rand is flipping this by looking the establishment in the face and smiling as he's plunging a knife in their back. Tit for tat baby!

Notice how there is this very nimble amount of aggression on both sides.

Paul got it the snippet of asking Hannity of the debate would end with Trump yellow "you're fired" at the candidates he didn't like.

Did you ever notice that whenever Rand brings up Ron's foreign policy, Hannity wants to change the subject? It's as if Hannity thinks all he has to say is "I hate Ron Paul's foreign policy," offering no explanation whatsoever. When Rand wants to engage him, he suspiciously doesn't want to go into details. It's as if it is merely a talking point, and we all know that it's become viral over the years.

Strange.

What a pathetic paid shill. I can't get the words out to speak the frustration I currently have with the msm.

Hannity really did not like Rand getting that "free" air time to trash Newt, did he? I think he made that pretty clear...

Ironic that Rand is far more skilled as a politician than his father. I only hope that underneath it all he has the same sterling character.

In any case, I didn't like hearing that he wasn't going to be in Iowa until January. Did I misunderstand? Shouldn't he be doing some serious time in Iowa as his Congressional schedule allows?

OMG Hannity, when talking about Newt paling around with Al Sharpton in regards to education, he tries to deflect it by saying "could it have been school choice or vouchers? I don't know the issue..." What planet does this guy live on??

I disagree with you guys. I think he was unprepared and I think overall he lost. A couple of examples.

1. He said that the wars has never been declared by the Congress. Hannity said that the Constitution doesn't require exact language and the Congress authorization was actual declaration of war. I've heard the same argument from Mark Levine and others. It's a major point of attack on Ron Paul. Rand SAID NOTHING. He turned the conversation to Obama, that now the Congress doesn't do even that. And they both giggled.
2. About Ron's foreign policy. Rand said that What Ron Paul advocates is just smaller more flexible military, not necessarily 100 thousands here and 100 thousands there. It sounded as if Ron Paul just advocates a different military tactics. Rand sounded like it's a small disagreement, a subject of compromise if needed. This is a major misrepresentation of RP foreign policy. If Rand is not able to defend it, he shouldn't pretend that it's something else.
3. I also have problem with Rand pretending and not denying that he pretended that he had a major breaking news announcement. He didn't look good. He looked sneaky. And so did the Good Doctor.

I don't know about you, but I'll never vote for Rand - I don't see much difference between him and others.

One unrelated comment. Hannity said that it's hard to get Ron Paul on his show. Why? Ron Paul knows all Hannity's argument. He should come, come often, come prepared and make his case.

Hannity is a pure f***head. I am glad Rand went on and baited him into accepting the obvious. I really hate this mealy mouthed piece of s**t... He called him sneaky. A great free commercial. He is desperately, desperate. It makes me smile :)

Has anyone heard of the Equal Time Rule? Radio stations are required to give equal amounts of time to political candidates at their request. I can't tell you how many times I've heard Gingrich on hamburg, not to mention people like Ann Coulter shilling for various neocons. It's about time Ron got some fair coverage.
