Truth Bomb Day: What Lie do We Attack?

What misconception should we attack?

  • The unemployment rate is approx. 8%

    Votes: 16 38.1%
  • Only one of the major party candidates could be elected president

    Votes: 13 31.0%
  • Something else and I'll tell you why

    Votes: 9 21.4%
  • None of the above--Truth Bomb Days are a dumb idea

    Votes: 4 9.5%

  • Total voters
    42
  • Poll closed .

This is already a hilarious internet meme:

Couple it with real numbers - foodstamps up 150%, welfare up 180%, unemployment is actually 23%, etc.

Might need to toss in an anti-RMoney video as well.

End it with "And these are our choices?"

or some such

things to happen.

1) someone should make a facebook page with a lot of these facebook pictures. Gather them from various places to start and then get people to upload their pictures directly to that facebook page. Direct people to that facebook page, so they can look at the pictures and share the ones they want to share.

2) something similar for youtube. A page on youtube where people can go to share the videos.

Why can't we just do this here? (On a subforum) and we can have threads per goal.

* Facebook only allows one account, so those who have one can't create another (can but they may both be canceled) and those that don't have one don't want one.

* We can post pics here, just make sure you give the link to the pic so it doesn't have to be copied to post whereever.

* It's easier to do here, and keeps the tasks consolidated in one place (RPF).

*I don't know that you can have a group youtube channel? (anyone?) We will want youtube channels that get a lot of exposure to upload our tubes. Build coalitions.

* RPF is already built and works. No more programming necessary and no more to learn (for those unfamiliar with social networks).

Then, people can come to the war room (subform) and get the stuff and spread it, one central location :)

* A "War Room" subforum (perhaps right below the grassroots forum on the main Liberty Forums page)
* Sticky threads with major topics such as "Congressmen emails, twitter accounts, phone numbers", "Local newspapers by Zip", "Local TV channel contacts by Zip", etc..
* Topics per goal (target date in the title)
* OP gets updated with pics/videos/canned messages, etc...

Another good meme for choice number two:

I'm thinking we attack the funny numbers on the 23rd (partly because it's a good warm up, partly because it's the 23rd, and partly because it's currently winning this poll), and emphasize that 'independents can win' could be just as effective a self-fulfilling prophesy as 'independents can't win' just before the election. Then we see how we did and decide whether to do it again, how long to wait, and what to tackle.

Jim Rogers stated the other day that he was going to "vote the protest".

I like that statement.

Don't like either of the two major candidates? Don't think it matters which one is elected?

Vote the Protest. Send a Message. The More We Protest, The Louder The Message.

How do you Vote The Protest? Pick anyone else on the ballot besides the D or R or Write Someone In.

I do too. And I think first attacking the Department of Labor Propaganda and both candidates for using that same propaganda, then pressing the protest vote home just before election day, could be a way to make some headway.

October 23: They're both lying to us, and using our tax dollars to finance the liars. Very early in November: So, don't vote for either one of them. Have enough self-respect to vote for someone who tells you the truth once in a while. Who else would actually do something about this mess besides try to cover it up?

With Facebook you can have more than one account. Posting pictures here is not easy. About the youtube, I don't know enough there. I'm not suggesting on the overall that things should be moved away from here, just that facebook can be tricky, and that a facebook front end for facebook pictures would probably work better than a rpf front end for facebook pictures.

All that looks good.

repeal of 17th Amendment might be a good first effort for truth bombs -- should be an ongoing educational effort in any event!

A whole lot of people here don't like using facebook, but I agree it should be incorporated as a tool for those who do.

You can create multiple accounts, but they can shut them down at any time if they figure it out. I have seen it happen (nephew) and they expressly tell you that they will if they catch you.

Not sure which account will be useful for helping communicate here, it seems the tent is getting smaller very quickly.

I'll try to keep an eye here, but with my first account being banned without reason, and this one being banned with no reason stated on the ban page, because they didn't explain the first ban... not really sure who/what did the banning, because it doesn't show that.

No guarantees I'll be able to post around here, as I don't want a sock puppet account under a different name.
