Trump Moving to Take Bids on Building the ‘Wall’

And also declare everything within 10 miles south of the wall to be a "no man's land".

Any farmers/ranchers/etc living there would obviously have to move but that's their problem not ours

I seriously doubt you are from Texas, or you would be aware of the devastation of Texas ranches by illegal aliens. Not to mention their harassment of the ranch owners by the illegals and traffickers. So much so that some have relocated their families because they do not think it's safe for them to be at home.

I totally get it, which is why I think we need the drones and the minefields. Because that's what it's going to take to make the wall effective.

A buffer zone on the border like a DMZ between hostile nations. 10 miles . . . I dunno if that is too much or not enough.

It could be how Mexico pays for it - by giving up land.

Robert N. Krentz Jr. (1951 – March 27, 2010) was a prominent rancher in the U.S. state of Arizona. Active in a family cattle ranching business stretching back nearly 100 years, he and his family ranch were inducted into the Arizona Farming and Ranching Hall of Fame in 2008.[1][2] Krentz was featured several times during the 1990s and 2000s (decade) in media reports regarding the problems surrounding illegal immigration across the Arizona stretch of the United States – Mexico border,[3] particularly regarding its impact on ranching.[4]

On March 27, 2010, Krentz was found shot dead on his Cochise County ranch property after reporting seeing an immigrant in need of help.[5] In the immediate aftermath, local authorities said evidence indicated that the assailant was most likely an undocumented immigrant,[6] though subsequent investigation suggested the killing was not random and that drug smugglers may have been responsible.[7] Krentz's killing attracted national attention and became a rallying cry for border security and immigration reform.

The Battle for the Border
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS EXPLODING IN MAVERICK COUNTY, WHICH WILL SOON BECOME THE BUSIEST CROSSING POINT FROM MEXICO INTO THE U.S. RANCHES ARE BEING OVERRUN BY DRUG SMUGGLERS, HOUSES ROBBED, CATTLE STOLEN. MEN HAVE BEEN SHOT AND KILLED.

Before the Mexicans arrived nothing ever got built here using Americans. We were still living in grass huts and businesses were being run out of caves. The insanity of thinking an American can build something!

I imagine the crews to build the wall will be broken into 10 man groups. 10 wanna be managers standing around wondering why the wall isnt building itself.

Are you an illegal immigrant or something? You sure seem to have a low opinion of the American workforce who pays for the legal and illegal immigrants welfare when they don't work....lol.

I think our border wall should also extend 30+ miles into the Pacific ocean. Same with the Gulf of Mexico - though that gulf does need a new name. Its current name simply won't do.

Woohoo....you got great ideas! Trump needs to put you on the Wall brainstorming team :-).

Alligators!

You can't have a truly Glorious Wall without alligators.

We should also consider building a wall for our border with Canada,

just in case there's Mexicans living in Canada
