Said this early on actually, and think it would be a bold and crazy move. Would be quite the scandal. At least it wouldn't be boring.

I honestly don't see why people are so "hell, no" about this. Why is it ok for Rand to Trojan Horse himself with the neocon agenda to earn brownie points in the Senate but not ok to align with a populist Republican for a VP spot that gives him a quite real shot as President in 4 to 8 years?

At the very least liberty would have a great soapbox.

Anyway, still think it's fantasy, or at least a strategy that Rand doesn't seem the type to want to touch with a ten foot pole.

I agree that Trump is intolerable. If he did, per chance, want Rand Paul as his VP choice, I believe Rand would need to consider it. I don't know how practically certain things could be squared, team wise and idea wise between the two. But I think Rand would perhaps alter the flavor of the whole ticket and enterprise. As I said in another thread, I'm not certain that Trump has been for reals about this whole thing, and he might have less opinions than we really think. That is why he is terrifying, and that is also why if we could surround the joke with Rand and other libertarians, you do it. Rand would set himself up for 2020. And Trump could just drop dead.

Now, in the alternative, if Rand hops on the ticket and Hillary smites them, then Rand's career is finished.

Won't happen and I will tell you why. I fought long and tirelessly for both Ron and Rand. They failed in their campaigns. Your choice now is to either sit on the sidelines taking potshots at others, or voting for some 3rd party candidate as a protest vote. I just do not agree that is the best course; at least for me. It's as simple as that. I have stated numerous times that Trump is far from a perfect candidate, but I feel that our country is so close to the end that I am willing to take a chance on someone who just might throw a couple of wrenches in the globalist spokes. In that way, we will have more time to get in place a real solution. Could he end up being another POS? Sure. But, the alternative is Hillary. Sorry, but I don't see that as being any boon for liberty.

Personally, I believe the sideline sitters should be embarrassed. Especially since I seriously doubt many of them are doing anything at all to try to stem the destruction, such as working to get Common Core out of their schools in their states, getting Agenda 21 out of their communities, or even getting the voting machines removed in their county.

So, opinions vary. We all have to make our own choices.
