I can't recall who at the moment, but somebody said when an exchange of ideas are not allowed to cross borders other countries will benefit. Either Ron Paul, or Mises perhaps?

If people want to attend higher education they should each have to pay their own way whether citizens or not. Schools should be treated like the true Free Market, which will bring competition in, costs down, and determine winners and losers. Keep the government entirely out of it.

Government is getting out of it.

They are no longer granting preferred access to US higher education to foreigners, thus lowering costs and increasing opportunities for US students.

It's only because of government sticking its stupid snout into higher education in the first place, that we now have all these problems.
