TREVOR - Please take the notice off BEFORE USA TODAY comes out

good post...

we gonna have lots of Thanksgiving guests so lets at least ACT like a functional family. Drama will scare newbies away

Let them catch RP fever first..then we can go back to being dysfunctional

Nice analogy. It fits.

Man I hope the notice comes down soon. It's a great idea... but it has an expiration and it's fast approaching.

Not only should we act functional...is there anyone willing to post individual videos under the grass roots section to educate / excite the new supporters? We would ALL have to embrace them as 'neat', 'interesting', 'new' and 'cool'.

Make the new guys feel like we did at the beginning of it all...

agree, and while he's at it... those daily update emails are probably annoying to many people. Why not provide a WEEKLY subscriber update instead, along with a reminder to donate on the 15th and 16th? Daily updates are just too spammy...and probably keeping many people from signing up.

one final suggestion...move the youtube videos up the page a little bit closer to the message.

I'm not going to read through 9 page, but I'd like to suggest that someone actually e-mail the guy, along with PMing him.

Summary for 'ya:

Yes, right now we can't seem to contact Trevor to remove it. Emails, PMs have been sent, phone calls have been made.

For those who didn't read through this entire thread, Nathaniel Yao, (the owner of the TeaParty07 web domain) who works directly with Trevor on this project, has been trying to contact Trevor ever since I called Nathaniel on the phone over an hour ago.

If anyone is from Miami Beach and you know Trevor, his relatives, friends, or any way to get a hold of him, by all means, call him up.

I think it's just a matter of time, though. Trevor will come through... he always does. :)

Bump, bump, bump, darn it, Trevor, bump!

Well-- it's past midnight in Florida now (where Trevor lives), so I bet he's down for the count. This is now the day before Thanksgiving, so it's very possible he had to travel this evening to get to family.

No changes have been made to the site at this point in time.

I tried to PM Nathaniel again about 40 minutes ago, but I just checked, and he's not online in the forums right now. I'm not going to call him on the phone again, since it's so late.

Trevor will probably be online early Wed AM, I would hope. I noticed that the last update of pledges on www.TeaParty07.com was almost 6 hours ago, so he'll probably want to get online and update the numbers in the morning - just hope he checks his voice mail, email, PMs or this forum when he wakes up.

USA Today is being delivered to stores and hotels on the East Coast as I type this, I'm sure. Maybe we can't get this done for the early readers, but it needs to be done for as many as possible who will go to the web site as a result of reading the ad.

Maybe some of you early risers can bump this thread to get Trevors attention in the morning? I'm goin' to bed. :)

One final request to the Admins: I think it would be wise to move this thread once Trevor removes the info from his site.

Thanks.

If it's not obvious by now, it doesn't seem like the best idea to have only one person who can edit the site.

One small request I would ask of my fellow forum members (and this is not directed towards anyone in particular)...

When Trevor gets back online, please don't harass him and give him all sorts of lip about this issue. We owe him that. Yeah, it might be wise to discuss the issue of having at least one more person with access to the website, but we need to discuss it civilly and kindly.

Trever has always been open and responsive to the community consensus when we approach issues with logic, reason and a cooperative spirit.

He has a life outside of these forums and probably doesn't need added frustration right now.

Just a request, that's all.

Nighty-nite. :o

that link really needs to go....and being front and center the way it is will be a total distraction for all these new people checking out the site...

we just want people to read the intro...see the video...do some resaerch and pledge..

keep it simple.....kill the drama

Two threads going??

Rpeating from the earlier thread: The prominent disclaimer is a slap in the face to Larry Lepard who dropped $80k on a nationwide ad. The teaparty website and all efforts in support of it are about Dec16. If the teaparty website linked to other bombs and the email notice was amongst them then it would be acceptable, but its prominent - dominant even - position is an abuse of discretion.

It would be great to have eLIB3RTY's Tea Party video at the top, even if temporarily. It'll increase the chance of people seeing that video than expecting the majority to scroll down a few pages to see it. It summarizes the event so well.

Especially useful for newbies to see and hear Ron Paul. After all, that's how most of us got hooked.

Will someone please take that link down off of the TeaParty07 site. It is terribly confusing everyone with great efficiency. I'm quite certain the majority of us know that it would be terribly detrimental to try to alter anything already set in motion about the TeaParty. I would not even be here trying to find out what is going on if that link was not on the TeaParty site and I'm sure this is true for hundreds if not thousands of others. Whoever wants to respond to campaign requests can do so. Whoever wants to save money and give according to their pledge can do so. This is a subject that requires no debate until someone puts a link on the site calling the plan of action into question. TAKE IT DOWN NOW, PLEASE! The TeaParty will go on! It is a completely separate effort from anything the campaign wishes for directly.

Trevors about to go from minor hero for being able to program a rudimentary website to major failure for his inaction now.
