So we got 704k?
thats mtd...but i believer we broke $100k
So we got 704k?
Here is the full day:
My opinion, for what it's worth, is that this past Moneybomb didn't reach as many people as it should've. There was confusion at the beginning of the month about which Moneybomb we were going with and what date it was, and valuable promotion time was lost. In my opinion, I think one massively promoted, huge Moneybomb is better than two okay ones. Which is why I think it would be prudent to go all in on the 5th of November...
Ticker URL has been returning the same data all day, stuck at 704157.72. If it starts back up again, I think I'll also start tracking donations by state.

There won't be anymore big moneybombs unless the campaign actually puts the ticker on the front page and promotes the money bomb on the front page. Their decision to not do that on this money bomb was simply inexcusable. The total of the money bomb would've been closer to 1 million than 100,000 had they just promoted on the front page of their website. Someone really needs to get word to the campaign ahead of time that they really need to put the ticker on the front page and promote the money bomb on the front page.
LOL you're really hung up on that. I agree though, what seems like minor details can make a big difference when it comes to promoting stuff online.
I don't see how it's just a minor detail though. The only people who even knew about the money bomb were just a few hardcore activists. Every single money bomb that has ever been done for both Ron and Rand has included a ticker and promotion on the main page, except for this last one.
The people running the site seem to disagree. i think if it had shot up to 100K overnight, they would have put it up on the main page.
That seems like circular reasoning. I'm saying that the reason why it didn't shoot up to 100K overnight or at least a significant number is because there was no ticker or promotion on the main page.

Number would have been higher but I dont believe it would be closer to 1 million. I am getting annoyed of all this "Rand should do this posts/threads"; "Campaign should do this posts/threads"... Over 60 liberty oriented websites were contacted and only few answered. All major Rand Paul Facebook pages and groups were contacted and some didnt even post 1 single post about moneybomb. Labor day moneybomb guys simply disapeared (as did their moneybomb attempt). Moneybomb on Sep. 22nd joined us but only after promoting separate event for about a month... Too many people like to talk and demand things and didnt do anything to promote moneybomb. Recruiting people on this forum was impossible. There won't be anymore big moneybombs unless the campaign actually puts the ticker on the front page and promotes the money bomb on the front page. Yeah, I understand people not feeling motivated or having the time to spend hours a day promoting. There were some people that did, and it was a big help, but I don't want anyone to feel like if they can't commit to that they can't do anything.
50 people willing to spend 1 minute a day can have a bigger impact than 1 person doing 50 minutes a day.
If every post and Tweet can count on getting at least 15 to 20 likes and shares automatically it will give them the initial boost they need to carry on organically. But if they don't get those initial likes and shares it's tough. I share them myself as much as I can but eventually it's walking the line between promoting and spamming.
There were some people that were great at doing that already, but we need more. If you're willing to spend one minute just clicking like, share, and leaving a short comment on one or two new posts a day please say so here or send me a PM or something. I know there are a lot of people that want to help, and this is a way for everyone to join.
Having that set up ahead of time will make things a lot easier than trying to recruit people while it's already running. If you don't have a Facebook or Twitter account you can open one now. You don't even have to put your own personal info on it.
