TMOT: Ron Paul, Please Tell Me Who To Vote For?

TMOT lives in GA, a red state...

I also live in GA, so I think I'll go GARY JOHNSON. Screw the GOP.

Why should he tell people who to vote for? There's no point fracturing and dividing his supporters (who may do anything ranging from voting Romney, to Obama or Virgil Goode). Unlike in 2008, where McCain was an avowed interventionist and neocon, I still think the judgement is not yet complete on Romney. To me, he seems like a businessman first with an economic priority (the Ryan pick solidified that). No mention of foreign policy in his speech? I think that was because he might really want to move back towards a more traditional Republican foreign policy. This article from a short time ago in Foreign Policy magazine posed the exact same question. http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/08/27/will_romney_discover_his_inner_nixon?page=0,0

We just don't know what Romney will do, and maybe RP has been kind and cordial with him, never really tearing him down in the hope that Romney etches more towards an acceptable foreign policy.

Are you kidding?

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Friday that he would send U.S. troops to Syria if needed to prevent the spread of chemical weapons.

"I think we have to also be ready to take whatever action is necessary to ensure that we do not have any kind of weapon of mass destruction falling into the hands of terrorists and whether that requires troops, or whether that requires other actions by our friends and allies," Romney said in an interview with CBS News.
Romney specifically noted that Turkey and Saudi Arabia have been involved in the region.

The former Massachusetts governor has limited foreign policy experience, but has so far outlined bullish positions on potential threats in the Middle East. He also told CBS News that he'd be willing to go to war to stop Iran from "becoming nuclear."

"No question in my view that we can put all manner of pressure on the regime that's there, but they have to also know that a military option is one which we'd be willing to consider if they do not take action to dissuade a course towards nuclearization," Romney said of Iran.

President Barack Obama has left open the possibility of military action on Iran should aggressive sanctions and international pressure fail. On Syria, the president said Monday that the U.S. would reconsider its opposition to military involvement in Syria if President Bashar Assad's regime uses chemical or biological weapons. He called such action a "red line" for the U.S.

"We have communicated in no uncertain terms with every player in the region, that that's a red line for us, and that there would be enormous consequences if we start seeing movement on the chemical weapons front, or the use of chemical weapons," Obama said. "That would change my calculations significantly."

And for the record, the only reason Ron Paul specifically endorsed anyone in 2008 is because Bob Barr pissed him off. Otherwise he would have given the same generic "Vote your conscience" talk he did this time. In fact he initially "endorsed" Cynthia Mckinney, Ralph Nader and Chuck Baldwin in 2008. And this time Ron Paul has made it abundantly clear that he does not support Mitt Romney. Sure he's been cordial to Romney. He was cordial to McCain in 2008. All that proves is Ron Paul is cordial.

LOLz! TMOT might as well Ron.
I think he would have a good shot. Typical Republicans would like him because he kind of sounds like Herman Cain. Libertarians would like him because he's actually nothing like Herman Cain.

I don't think for a second that Ron is running in 2016. And indefinitely writing Ron Paul in is no solution. What happens in 2032? Will people write in a corpse?

The Ghost of Ron Paul? No one understands the death of liberty better than a dead man.
Zombie Ron Paul? He hungers for brains...and personal freedom.
RoboPaul 9000? With his twin gatling guns and shoulder mounted rocket launchers, this PaulBot does more than argue on the internet.
Clone Ron Paul? But seriously, let's start a chip-in for this one.

Hmmm....you may be right. He'd lave to lose the earrings.

Better a corpse than the vast majority of politicians. At least a corpse won't be actively destroying our foundation of liberty.

If you think about it, and you have listened to Dr. Paul, he has not said anything out right positive about any of the candidates, BUT Gary Johnson. He did say Gary was doing a good job, and that people should look at him. A Ron Paul open endorsement would be major, but as the guy in the video eloquently said, Ron Paul helped teach people to think, and to think about the big picture, what is really important.

Another thing, if RP were to all-out endorse GJ, who would get the blame for Rmoney's huge loss? Not worth the trouble. Ron knows he's trained us well. ;)

I am deciding between writing in RP or voting for GJ. I am in FL where they probably count write-ins. As far as I know while writing-in, I should indicate:

Name
Street Address
City, State XXXXX

If somebody knows how to write in RP in FL and if they count my vote?

It looks like you would be counted as 'none of the above' but not for Ron, specifically.
