Thomas Massie on Free Speech and Censure of Rashida Tlaib

I abhor this insistence that it’s necessary to become as dishonest as the opposition - this child-like argument that “If they do it, we should do it, too! It’s only fair!”

Way to fail to grasp the entire concept of integrity. Marjorie Greene has demonstrated a low IQ and an inability to adhere to principles.

Thank God Tom Massie is around to drag the 'stupids' back to reality.

Marjorie Greene can’t even play checkers!

Greene’s response to Massie’s very gentle criticism (from her tweet):
“...Until we force Dems to live by their own rules, nothing will change and you know it”.
Rather than fighting against the corruption and blatant dishonesty of democrats, Greene wants to validate their behavior by solidifying it as an acceptable “rule” by which the same abuse can be repeated again and again.
Also:
Refusing to censure is not defending Terrorist Tlaib’s freedom of speech, it’s allowing her to continue.
Continue to have freedom of speech? Um, yeah that’s what freedom of speech is. Furthermore, it’s not a defense of Tlaib’s personal speech, it’s a defense of freedom of speech in general. Apparently, Greene doesn’t even grasp the concept. What a dolt.
And:
Censure is Congress’s free speech to condemn another member’s actions and words (speech).
Freedom of speech is a right all citizens are entitled to. Censuring a fellow congress person is not. She argues like an angry child who’s only concern is dominating her opponent of the day. Lacking the ability to keep track of what really matters, she betrays a total disregard for our single most important goal - restoring integrity to our Republic!

Now, she’s planning to reintroduce the resolution, replacing the word “insurrection” with “illegal occupation”. (I'm not able to access and post the tweet) Depending on the wording it’s likely to raise all the same problems:

Is she implying that all protesters in DC on Jan 6 were part of an “illegal occupation”?

Not so, when A) there were multiple permits for those protests and B) cops opened the doors and invited protestors in and C) we know that a very large segment of the bad-actors were not real protesters, but government agents, informants, employees and other infiltrators with bad intentions.

The language Greene has used is, in effect, asserting that this government abuse never occurred! it's an admission of guilt!

Did the protestors Tlaib incited acquire permits ahead of time? Did the cops open the doors and wave them into the capitol? Haven’t heard anyone speak on the basics concerning the legal differences in how the two different protests came to occur. Greene is too flighty to sift through such facts and has chosen instead to acquiesce to the lie that the two protests occurred under identical circumstances. That’s insulting! Feels like back-stabbing to me.
