THIS is WHY it MATTERS in what Rallies you attend

Let me make this clear. PLEASE keep Ron Paul signs away from rallies where the Communist Party will be in attendance. Period. If you do not understand why, there is no amount of explaining that is going to help.

Well don't go around them. The point is they have a right to do that..... Ron Paul can stand on his own.. I think it hurts RP's image to say anything other than they have a right to do as they wish. I have no problem saying I do not support their views but I support their right to have them and I would welcome them as RP supporters and not agree with them.

Looks like a pure propaganda piece to me. Neither of the shots of Ron Paul supporters show them associating with any communists, but sandwiched between a bunch of footage of communists, with that music playing in the background, it makes them look like they're part of it. The same effect could have been achieved by taking footage from a Ron Paul rally and splicing it into that montage.

If anyone has the opportunity to discuss this issue, I would be quick to point out that the video also shows a group of Iraq War veterans at the protest, and ask if that makes all U.S. military personnel communists.

Well seeing the flag carried upside down by a man in DSU's was a pretty sad image too. What a lot of young people don't know is images of war protesters spitting on, throwing excrement, and screaming, BABY KILLER! to vietnam verterans who were just young people drafted, kept the support up for the war and prolonged it.
It has nothing to do with their right to do it, but what it does to the RP campaign.

Get real. They were on the other side of the street. And YES, I'm saying not to walk over there and hold a Ron Paul sign up amongst them. Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp? There were plenty of other places to rally to your heart's content, at that Straw Poll. There was absolutely no reason to go mingle with the Communist Party, Ron Paul signs in tow.

Well, there's supportive stories on Digg frontpage all the time, and that's #27 on websites on the entire INTERNET.

Maybe I don't know that much about Townhall, but it seems like a creepy place to me (with those crazy ads). All it takes is 5 minutes to look into Ron Paul's stances, and it'll solve any confusion.

I don't think it's the end of the world, but I agree it's not that great. However, there are lots more things to be positive about. Hey, nobody's perfect.

It was the DC meetup that was at the rally. No one was impersonating Paul supporters. I am on their list but I don't participate because I am in grad school and don't have any free time. I thought it was stupid from the beginning but didn't get involved with the email chain.

Hopefully, it will be ok. But this crap has got to stop. Just today there is talk of emailing Ahmadinejad and rallying outside of where he is going to be speaking. This is just a continuation of the same stupidity.

I think you are making wild and baseless generalizations. Code Pink is actually against Hillary, no where on their site or in their literature is communism talked about. They have one goal and that is to stand against war. The veterans of Iraq are also against the war.
