Basically I saw this on 3 new facebook posts.. "he debates so well..'

Did you not care about his policies
They do not care about his past issues
They don't care about is lying cheating

He just communicate very well. Just like obama..

Ron really really really needs a debate coach. Rons message is a slow burn.
We are losing time for that.

I am not discouraged. Ron has a plan. But he needs coaching on how to deliver his message more effectively.

Agreed.

Doubt Ron will change, but the masses are clueless.

What is funnier, that "values voters" supported Newt or that Tea party members supported Newt "welfare queen" gingrich?

Newt debates well because he BS's. Though, I thought he was the loser in the last one when it was more confrontational. Santorum ripped him a new one.

agreed, that's why I want Rick around for at least a couple of more debates. He will go after Mitt and Newt and it's not like Ron is a 2nd choice of a santorum supporter.

Lord Xar, didn't see you at LA Liberty HQ today, they will be tabling on Venice boardwalk tomorrow...we had a lot of great response today, stop by tomorrow if you can!

I think they will most likely be in front of the Ale House.

Americans like style over substance, and have for a long time now. Politics itself is a complete racket full of actors and bloody shirt wavers. Ron Paul isn't from that mold, so it's tough for him to get through to people with his actual, y'know, explaining how things work and why we're in this mess.

People don't wanna hear that. They want soundbites, one-liners, juicy comebacks, and cheap slogans.

The people around Ron need to market his message better, like Herman Cain and Obama did. Cain was dominating in the polls before the whole sex scandal business with three meager numbers. Obama got over 70 million votes because of "hope and change," and Newt is on a path to the nomination for "Kill them."

Americans don't want people with principles, they want instant gratification in 5 words or less, repeated endlessly and promoted by the MSM.

If Ron and his staff can't put something like that together, and quickly, we aren't gonna win...and we'll be here toiling away till 2016 when it becomes Rand's turn to throw his hat in the ring.

The same kinds of retards that say these things are the same kinds of people that vote based on image. These are the types of people that will always say Paul is too old.

had a turd tell me today that Ron Paul was a fascist...LOL

Newt has mastered the claptrap and has done a decent job marketing himself. By emphasizing that he looks forward to debating Obama, he has made many people believe that he would be capable of taking him apart in a one-on-one. Unfortunately for Newt, he has too much personal and political baggage for O to use as ammunition against him. One main difference between the two is O comes across as fairly likeable where Newt comes across as pompous. That is a huge reason why Newt is unelectable in a general election.

The worst news from the exit polls is that Newt won handily among those who think the deficit is the biggest issue, and among those who want a candidate who can beat Obama. Ron Paul beats Newt on both in reality!

It seems to me that Ron is improving a lot at addressing specific points. It's almost like he's listening to his supporters and using their suggestions!!

I know upteen posts have been made about this.

But give the amount of trash on Newt and how nefarious he is, and he STILL won 43% of the evangelical vote tells me that substance is the broth, but not the focus... It is the delivery of the message even if the message is convoluted.

I don't mean Ron needs an extra hour a week of coaching. I am saying he needs to be taking this shit seriously and doing like 4hours a day. His message resonates with us because we get it. That switch went off. We are the ones that "woke up" - but for the majority, that "light bulb moment" will not happen too soon, if ever. He needs to light that spark by virtue of 'how' he delivers the message.

We have been talking of how he frames the "foreign policy" issue. This is a years old problem. Its not that his foreign policy is 'weird' it is just not tailored in a way that a layperson can get or be able to assimilate after many years of conditioned thinking.

His electability, same thing. Wead and Him can go on talk shows once a week but unless he says it in debates and says it in a way that resonates, it will fall on deaf ears or be easily disassembled once the media propaganda machine touches upon them again.

I know that after Florida we will do well. But I dont want to just do well. I want to win.

You pit truth with a powerful debater vs. an evil imp who is a powerful debater --> truth will win.

Newt is a narcissistic sociopath and people are so juvenile to buy into it.

These perps that booed the Golden Rule, want to see a debate between Barack and Newt.

They want to win at any cost

Someone somewhere around here suggested that Ron doesn't do well when he has to rush his answers because he feels a moderator or opponent is going to cut him off. I think there may be a lot of truth to that because he has had great delivery in his concession speeches. If he doesn't have his issues down to talking points yet, I imagine that he never will.

It's true that this is the main reason people support Newt, they actually think this makes him electable. One Newt supporter told me that he liked Newt because he would call Obama a socialist to his face, of course they never think how any of this will appeal to the Independent voters.

I guess being an arrogant jerk and whining about the moderators means you're a good debater. People are so stupid.

I think if he were to condense his message down into talking points it would lose a lot of meaning.

Newt has a lot of practice with combative debate from his time as speaker of the house. Too bad people don't have enough brain cells to simultaneously admire his speaking skills and analyze what he is saying.

Maybe RP needs to run as a religious conservative?

Southern Baptist vs a mormon, a catholic and a philanderer should be a cakewalk for evangelicals.
