There are too few atheists in the US

You do realize that this says nothing about atheism or Darwin, right?

I mean, if I tried to force the hand of God by putting to death anyone who worked on a Sunday, I would be bad too. Does that say something about christianity? No, IMHO.

The fact that Christians have done this says something about Christianity. Nowadays though, most Christians havn't even read the bible. Christianity is their SOMA. THey use it as dope when they're feeling bad. I'd respect a real zealot.

From my experience, my guess is that most Atheists lean more towards libertarian than anything else. Or at least, socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

Given the rise of the neocons, the democrats have simply fit that bill better than republicans since the mid 90's. So to assume that Atheists want the nanny state simply because they vote democrat is outrageously fallacious. An anybody who has found a home with Ron Paul's campaign should be ashamed of making such an assumption based on a vote for one party or another.

So are you trying to say that Atheism had nothing to do with Communism?

I am not defending Republicans or Christians at all here. I'm simply stating that the majority of voting Atheists in Nevada are just as misinformed as the people who voted for Romney.

As for voluntary sterilization, that leads to forced sterilization. Same thing with voluntary euthanasia, leads to involuntary euthanasia. That one poster thinks he's so intelligent but seems to not have studied history very well. His belief could very well come around and bite him in the arse.

Maybe they will force sterilization on and/or euthanize RP supporters, which one might he be subject to? Darwin himself was a racist and eugenicist, the communists and Nazis took his beliefs/ideas and used them.

I don't think voluntary sterilization leads to involuntary sterilization. Has voluntary abortion led to forced abortion? I rest my case. Oh, I'm so sorry I'm arrogant. It's called living in a stupid country all my life with unusually high intelligence. Why apologize?

And anyway, if we don't address the fact that "good" people are being out bred, we'll have a horrible future, OR, everyone will be Mormon. That might not be so bad!

Yes, Darwin was a racist and eugenicist, he was a bigtime arse! I ALREADY mentioned that what the Nazis/commies did does not apply to all atheists. Go back and read!

Yes, but in Darwin's time, EVERYBODY was a racist, and ANYBODY with a BRAIN was for eugenics in principle.

I'm not trying to say anything except what I'm actually saying.

There is not a significant correlation between atheism and the nanny state. OR atheism and socialism. Or atheism and big government.

I was just making sure, because, in that post, it sounded like you forgot.

Yeah, 4RP08, stop smearing atheists. Just because your cult calls us enemies or potential converts. We're just a bunch of independent thinkers with high intelligence who are hella chilled out and watch society function from the outside. I mean, it's not like we have any representation in politics!

For instance, right now, I'm just chompin' on some cheese crackers and posting on the Ron Paul Forums. I don't have to worry about angering some non-existent god, or worshippin' his arrogant ass, or being punished for eternity because I offended his horribly cruel ass. Now that I think about it, I'm surprised there aren't more atheists.

Most Atheists are fiscally conservative and "the deomcrats have simply fit that bill." That makes sense.

Jesus Christ! You don't even take time to consider the choices that people had to make. If you're socially liberal and fiscally conservative, which is just a guess on my part, then the democrats have been the better choice because they at least fit one of those characteristics. the republicans, on the other hand, have fit neither.

If atheists on average are smarter (I personally don't really think they are), I would assume it has most to do with the fact that they are a very small group, relativily speaking--and at this point, they're a "thinking group." So once they become the majority and the religious become the minorty (if that were ever to happen), then it will probably be reversed, because people are extremely stupid, regardless of their beliefs.

I think both the atheist and religious bashing is lame.

That's an interesting point about the trends. However, right now, it doesn't matter what you THINK, it is an empirically verifiable fact that the occupations which require the highest IQs, science PhDs, etc, have the largest amount of atheists.

I agree completely.

So why did most voting Atheists in Nevada not vote for Ron Paul yesterday?

Gee, no one taking up the case of 80 IQ crack whores with schizophrenia?? I figured some of the Christians would be clamoring to adopt her children!

LOL. (Adoption is an issue we haven't addressed much on this forum.)

Personally, I think national intelligence could improve at least 10 points if we would remove the chlorine from the water supply.

If that's true, then I could boost my own IQ by drinking non-chlorinated water, or it won't work. How do I get non-chlorinated water??

In fact, he was the favorite candidate of atheists. He didn't win a majority, but he did win a plurality, I believe, based on the stats I've seen posted on here, though not verified.
