Well, yeah, of course. Reckless speculation is half the fun.

But anyway, we do have evidence to point in a direction. Elon failed miserably when he endorsed and supported DeSantis and failed equally as bad when he stumped for the Wisconsin Supreme Court race a few weeks back. Trump on the other hand won in 2016 when very few had him winning and "lost" in 2020 when we had the The Most Secure Election in History™. So, it's not that much of a stretch to assume the guy who beat being put in prison for life and came within millimeters of being murdered on live TV would have beaten Kamala Harris without Elon's help.

Trump surviving an assassination attempt is what ultimately gave him the win. Not to mention the mugshot and the countless lawfare being weaponized against him. Musk didn't even endorse Trump until after that. One could argue that Musk buying Twitter and turning it into a free speech platform played a huge role in Trump's win but that was more indirect than direct. I highly doubt Musk was even thinking of helping Trump when he purchased it back then.

When Trump came up yelling Fight! fight! after getting shot, Musk thought he might actually be willing to get in some hard fights with the swamp. Had a few good months this term, but quickly fell back into his deal making habits. But in DC, that means deals with the devil.
