Regardless of the results in New Hampshire, Michigan, South Carolina we must remember why we are Ron Paul supporters. For each of us, I am sure the exact reasons are different. Indeed, if you put all of us Paulites in one room, the stark contrast between, pro-lifers, peace activists, those who see the war drugs and proposed federal bans on gay marriage as moral and civil oppression, and of course your typical fiscal small government conservatives; would be a shocking site to behold. Nonetheless, we are held together by something more than a once in a lifetime nobel and honest candidate. We are held together, at the very least, by our belief in the Liberty of the Individual above the forced communal collectivism of the Federal Government. A Federal Government that long ago broke the bounds and restraint of our Constitution.
So I ask the question: What does the Revolution do after Dr. Ron Paul? We cannot let it end here! I urge us all to take heart in our initial victory! Please consider where Dr. Paul was a year ago, with the freedom-crushing thought control via media censorship and the entrenched fear of real freedom inflicting so many Americans, I say we have done well! So we must continue to contribute to the campaign, as we begin discussing a future.
Who is the next Ron Paul? And where will he/she come from?
Do we fall back into the obscurity of basic Libertarianism?
Do we form a new party, The Revolution Party perhaps?
How do we stay united?
How do we educate other young Americans to resist the false hopes of Big Government?
Unfortunately, the Republican party is lost to evangelicals (christo-fascists?) and Neo-cons, while the real conservative message of Dr. Paul is lost among the laughter of the jackals!
A final thought. In my circle of life, I can tell you that currently only 1 in 10 people are receptive of Dr. Paul. However, I have not a doubt that if our candidate was a young, graceful, attractive, powerful orator, like Obama, who gets untold millions in free loving and fawning media coverage daily, that number rises immediately to 4 or 5 in 10, even with the exact same message!
Don't loose heart folks lets find the way forward. We must take back our country. And the first step is to continue our first battle of The Revolution by staying true to our man until the end!
PS New Hampshire Motto:
Baa Baa, where did our liberty go?
