Most people on this thread are not Americans. Certainly not too many Texans either.

Paul's numbers are still rising, now 11.1%. Maybe 11.5 -12 in the end. Nearly beating Santorum and Gingrich combined.

Same reason they vote just to justify a patriotic ego without actually doing anything for their country besides voting whoever is winning.
 
I still believe that the the electronic voting machines the elections are rigged, just as the paper voting here in Canada is.

This is true, at least for Canada.

The Harper government should not have had a majority.

We had a huge "robocall" scandal (About more than robocalls), and now they just hope we forget about it while they pretend they are "deeply concerned, and investigating..."

Our education system is a joke. Most people that I know don't care about the important things. If something challenges them, "there should be a law for this!", or "we should nuke 'em all!" They've been taught that debt creates wealth and they will believe it until they are literally starving to death.

btw I'm laughing a bit at these outraged posters that are watching the Texas primary results. I was a bit outraged on super tuesday but I totally expected the results we are seeing so far on this state primary.

I see this same comment over and over and have for decades. The elections are rigged. If that's true, then why aren't you out with semi-automatic rifles overthrowing the scoundrels? Why? I'll tell you why. Because you don't really believe it. It's just a way to bellyache and feel better about things.

I happen to know that elections are rarely rigged. And that actually makes me feel worse. That means my neighbors are fascists and hatemongers. I would much rather believe the elections are always rigged against us. But I just can't live in fantasy land.

Can't it be both? Small rigging, and others are arrogant? In Canada at least, we've had rigging, and it was proven this time! :rolleyes:

They like to applaud for whomever the guy next to them is applauding for. That's what wrong with these Americans.

Different from North Koreans, who stand straight, hands in front, perpendicular to their chest and applaud for the only man they can applaud for.

But at the rate we are going, soon enough training will begin in public school on the proper way of applauding and to whom. Just wait a little bit more.

The other thing is there's about 20 people running for President this year. Even if some may be caricatural, why doesn't the media cover their individual stories. That would make for great TV and that's what sells commercials.

Are the power brokers so afraid that a John Davis could go viral and edge past their anointed choice?

That is true. I know many Republicans that don't like Mitt Romney but would make sure to vote for him in the primary just because they are Republicans and he is ahead. I have more respect for those that vote Santorum or Gingrich even after they quit than I do these "Romney-winning-team" people.
