The I'm feeling better now thread

Yes, in every (non-binding) caucus state.

I know about Minnesota and Iowa.

Wead mentioned Colorado in passing once, are things looking good there? We haven't really had an update on Maine either.

Things are looking great in CO. There were plenty of instances where Ron lost the preference poll but walked away with all delegates/alternates.

Are we outperforming the vote percentages with delegates? At least in your precinct?

Hard to say. I don't know about the county, but my town has 12 volunteers and the majority of votes were for Paul. It may be different in the towns that went for Romney.

I am not angry anymore.. But I am upset with this Romney/Ron truce that has been going on. If the reports are true about Romney pulling some strings in Maine... the truce definitely should end NOW. Even if its not true.. it should end. =|

Since we did so well with delegates in Colorado, I'm sure the campaign was ready to steal Romney delegate slots. We win again :D.

Last election Maine got 38% of the delegates. Yay! But the idiots in charge weren't able to get 1 national delegate elected at the convention. I hope it will be different in May.

How does that even happen?

Ordinarily, if your opponents unite against you (and the Establishment always does) you need 50%+1 to win ANY delegates... but at that point you can win them ALL from that state. Even better if you have 66%, as a supermajority can suspend or change the rules. This is what happened in Nevada in 2008, and when Paul started winning all the delegates, the GOP turned out the lights on the convention to stop them. But this time, not only should we be prepared for this, but hopefully have a supermajority in many (if not all) caucus states.

If you have less than 50% of the delegates at a district or state convention... the only way you'll get any delegates is by cutting a deal. (This was done with Huckabee supporters in WV 2008 if I recall correctly, and got us 3 delegates.) It's rare though. Better to just have the majority... lol.

I'm assuming the 66% is what the campaign is aiming for in Nevada to unbind the delegates. Thanks for the info.

If the GOP tries to screw Paul, he should threaten a third party run. Say to the lowly state GOP chair: "Do you want to be the one responsible for the crash of Romney's presidential campaign and the reelection of Obama? Think on that."

No official in Nevada would dare shut the convention down.

Lol how do you prepare for a lights out establishment attack?

No you haven't. Certainly not a 3 touchdown win. But you have played a lot of games where a team that gets more yardage and time on the clock WINS by 3touchdowns.

Otherwise it is because a lot of turnovers. And I don't know exactly what you are trying to translate a turnover in a primary race.

And the golf analogy is just as silly. It would be like playing match play, and we are heading to the 6th tee already down 5 holes.

Ron Paul does NOT need people with their heads in the clouds.

In golf we would be on the third hole with the next state. 18 into 52 goes three + times.

you mean the 2008 Nevada convention was canceled because they cut the power off? But then the convention is only postponed. I don't see what was the matter.

bringing flashlight will enable the convention to proceed? What if they generate fumes to set off the fire alarms?

Maine is not done! I would feel great if we won the last caucuses and forced the stupid maine gop to put in ALL the vote. We should call the leaders there all day until they do.

100% votes in, what part do ron paul supporters not understand? washington county doesn't exist this primary election period.

better start your own mainstream media because americans will not get your memo in time! all this delegate talk means nothing except to hard core politics types. The media wil make sure we get crushed in primary states. the gop will not allow ron paul to win! I will make sure the gop does not win!
