I finally got Covid!

It came on slowly, starting with feeling weak, off-balance and overheated despite mild weather. Within several days I was shaking from chills and too weak to get out of bed. I slept most of the time for 4-5 days with my only food being ramen noodles with some chopped cilantro tossed in.

The next symptoms to show was swollen lymph glands in face and neck that hurt like a mfr. This lasted a few days. I had a low-grade fever (+2 degrees), headache, and heavy lung congestion.

My strength started to return about ten days in.

Throughout the sickness I took 500mg quercitin and 30mg zinc twice a day, along with curcumin-95 for the pain and 10kIU of Vitamin D3 + 100mcg of K2 daily. Without these supplements I think it would have been worse and lasted longer.

I was that sick once before, 35 years ago, but it lasted only 48 hours or so. This current thing went on and on and on. Started around 9/20 and I am only just now feeling like almost back to normal.

If you can avoid catching Covid, do so! It's miserable!

Well now at least its out of the way for a while so grats

I managed to go more than 4.5 years without catching it, so why now? Several friends have had it recently also, people who were never sick with it before. And other friends have told me they caught it several times, so natural immunity may be doubtful.

I neglected to mention in the OP that I lost my senses of taste and smell for about a week, too. That's when I started to suspect it was covid.

I'm glad you made it through.

The time I thought I had it I was wiped out and couldn't get off the couch.

I remember needing to go to the john but couldn't get up the energy to go for hours.

No loss of taste, but nothing tasted good for a few weeks.

Other than that, pretty mild.

I got it about 10 months ago for my first time. I took all those supplements too, and more, before it even came on, because I was trapped in the back of a car for 8 hours with the windows rolled down in the middle of winter with somebody who was just starting to get sick, coughing and sneezing.. they later tested positive for COVID, as did I. Since I had such a large viral load from the car ride, I got sick like you, similar symptoms (no lung congestion), but couldn't get out of bed.. Originally I was just going to go with the supplements, I thought I wouldn't get that sick. When I did, I decided to go with Ivermectin. 12 hours after taking the first Ivermectin, it was like a switch "flipped" in my body, I could feel myself instantly getting better.. the next day I was 30% better, the day after 95% better.

I now have a large supply of Ivermectin, I've had the horse paste forever but well before I got sick I ended up getting some human grade that was prescribed to keep on hand. Turns out it's good for all kinds of things, not just the covid virus. It's also an anti-cancer agent.

...

I've had it 3 times, pretty much once every 2 years since it first got here. Slightly different symptoms every time. It mutates like the cold and flu, so your natural immunity only applies to a specific variant. When it mutates enough, you can catch it again.

My whole family caught it in Dec 2021. It really hit my wife hard. My kids took it like a cold. Oddly I was around them for almost 2 weeks before I caught it.

I really think a few viruses escaped/were released. I had a large number of patients in the fall of 2019 who had "weird colds." I caught something like a cold in March 2020 with light diarrhea. I assumed that it was COVID, but it was nothing like what I had in 2021.
