‘Stop Gun Trafficking and Strengthen Law Enforcement Act of 2011’
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h112-2554
When will these clowns ever get it that anything they legislate about the privately owned firearms of the American people is a direct contradiction to the Second Amendment, where congress is directed that it may not infringe upon that right?
While this 'leftistlation' seems rather tame, and seems to only to rehash current laws that violate the Second Amendment; as we all know the gun grabbers have been getting rather beaten up lately, even losing their cherished revisionist tripe that the Second Amendment does not protect an individual right, but only a collective 'militia' right,to keep and bear arms.
This is just another attempt for them to get back into the game of chipping away at the inalienable right of ALL AMERICANS to keep and bear arms.
This, like each and every piece of legislation like it,requires the full and unbridled attention of all who oppose the insane hoplophobic agenda.
Of course, they will only be able to continue to move forward,if we don't force them back.
Ultimately, the time has come to look into repealing such odious laws as the "Brady background check" which imposes a duty on all Americans that in order to excersize their Second Amendment right, they must first ask permission from the government via a 'background check'.
“The people... shall have the right to keep and bear arms; and they need no permission or regulation of law for the purpose.”-Thomas Cooley,Treatise on Constitutional Limitations,1868
We need to start pushing them back all the way to the UNCONDITIONAL REPEAL of the NFA34.
"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, and this without any qualification as to their condition or degree, as is the case in the British government."
-St. George Tucker,Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England (1803)
And its time to repeal the Nazi-inspired GCA68.Inalienable rights cannot be 'taken' by government any more then government can 'take' our souls- these rights come to us from a Higher Authority than government, and the Second Amendment was written to ensure that the inalienable right to defend oneself from evil -whether that evil be a robber or rapist,or a tyrannical government- SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson
Government does not get to decide who has rights, rather,it must acknowledge and limit its function to respecting the inalienable rights of all.
"It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it."-George Washington
"The whole of that Bill [of Rights] is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals...t establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of."
-Albert Gallatin to Alexander Addison, Oct 7, 1789, MS. in N.Y. Hist. Soc.-A.G. Papers, 2.
The gun grabbers are clearly trying to get back into their game, and its time to put THEM on the defensive!
