The blimp MUST be in Boston for the Tea Party, period!

The weather forecast for Boston on Sunday has improved!

The wind forecast is now 11 MPH instead of 28MPH like the weather channel showed an hour ago!

Did anyone notice that the Ron Paul Campaign just passed eleven million three hundred and sixty thousand mark? Just thought I'd mention that.

mp you have no fkn idea wtf you're talkn about in regards to the blimp being deflatable - you also sound like you're on meth

I do know what I'm talking about. The blimp needs to be in Boston for the Tea Party.

Those bombers cost about 1.2 BILLION each, Edward...not gonna happen.

Haha, anyways, I do want to quote what someone said:
Look at its top speed, flight hours per day and distance it has to travel to reach Boston. Its not going to make it. I'll be impressed if the blimp manages to get off the ground before Sunday.

On a positive note the media is interested in the big story, the fundraising and will report on it. They'll be interested in the blimp too, but they don't care if its over Boston, New York, or DC, its irrelevant. In fact I hope the blimp is grounded until after the money bomb. Let the media report on the money bomb for a few days and make the blimp launch a seperate story altogether. Instead of combining the two events into one report let them report about Ron the entire week.

The fact the blimp won't be there might even be a blessing in disguise. It's not good to concentrate ALL resources in one area just to lose eveywhere else. The blimp has NOT received a TON of coverage yet, this is a good thing. It will be even better to have the Blimp fly Monday, so we have a consistancy in the news rather that just one explosion. Let's let the media report on one awesome story at a time. Let them divide their air time, once for the moneybomb and again the next day with the blimp FOLLOWING the moneybob.

When you do everything right, God is bound to give you something back. I have a firm belief that this shit happens for a reason and that hard work never goes unrecognized. You can't push a bird out of the nest before it's ready. It will fly, just give it another three or so days.

This'll be the third time I'm posting this, but flying regularly, assuming the weather's alright, I think the blimp could make it to Boston on time with a Friday launch. We just probably won't be able to land in New York City and shake hands with people/take pictures with Trump/whatever.

Someone said the helium would only cost 17,000 dollars.
That doesn't include the cost of loading the entire blimp onto a truck, the trip, then refilling it, AND who are you gonna call to lend you 170,000sqft of helium?? I would suspect it would take at least a week to get that together.

Why can't people start looking at this ordeal as what it is: not the end of the world. In my opinion, the people of Boston will know what's going on based on the fact there's going to be a huge teaparty going on, and the fact Ron is getting a TON of donations that day. The fact there's a blimp floating around won't make it any more of a bigger event than it already is. I think if we REALLY want the blimp to have a big impact, let's launch it MONDAY, the day AFTER the moneybomb.

My reasoning behind this is that ALL news stations are going to be reporting on the success of the TeaParty. Then, the next day, they hear Ron Paul supporters just launched a blimp, NOT using the money from the campaign! They will then add the 300,000$ + X amount we raise, which will make it that much better. I think it's better to have the blimp get exposure AFTER we drop the moneybomb, not before. If we do it before, all it is is a 300k$ advertisement which is completely trumped by the 6 or 7 million we raise.

Have the blimp arrive in NH on Monday. Just my 2 cents.

I think it should be the same day. I too believe it will have a synergistic effect. I'd be happy just to get it to Baltimore and DC on the 16th. Heck on the TV screen they will probably be lumped together in the same story. So it should nearly have the same effect. The millions that are going to see this was going to be the on the TV set anyway. Could say Ron Paul people are attacking the Boston Harbor and King George on the same day.

What makes you think that the blimp team isn't working as hard as possible to make sure the blimp can be in Boston?

As I stated earlier on another thread, it's a miracle the company is even sending a blimp north in the winter. This will be the first time this company has EVER done so, and it's doing it all on very short notice to try to help us.

Weather is the big factor here. Don't blame the blimp team if weather makes a blimp visit on Sunday impossible. There is only so much they can do.

There is only so much a BLIMP can do.

Its also a miracle people had enough trust to donate. That trust has been violated, and badmouthing people who have honest concerns is making it a lot worse.

If you keep on badmouthing donors, you aren't going to have any.

Look people, it is impossible to get that much helium to Boston. Even if we did have the 17000 plus cost to transport it, it would take time.

Also, none of the people that own the airship seem to want to TETHER THEIR GIGANTIC BLIMP TO THE GROUND AND TRY TO FILL IT UP. You know why? Its a stupid idea, and someone could be hurt. It would probably cost a ridiculous amount to get that much steel wire (or whatever) at that tensile strength. Even then, it might not hold because they don't know what it would take.

They don't know what it would do to the covering on the blimp, it might cause damage.

I'm sorry, if you guys think it is just simple enough to fill the freaking blimp up in bad weather on the ground with tethers then you should just leave this forum.

Yeah..I guess its really that simple huh? Lets just slap some crap decals on the side of it.

Heck, lets just put a RON PAUL Bumper sticker on that side and get that sucker flying.
