The blimp MUST be in Boston for the Tea Party, period!

This project will be a huge success, its amazing we are this far along. Think about it: can someone just go anywhere and rent a 200 foot long blimp? Imagine if you were the owner of a company and a couple of young average guys called you and said we would like to rent your blimp for 350K a month, would you take them seriously? Now they are and things are in motion, delays are to be expected. Anyone that has tackeled so agressively a project as large as this and has had better results I will respect your opinion.

The blimp organizers are doing thier best because they are risking a lot more than anyone not directly involved in this project and they want more than anything to get that bird to Boston on the 16th just as much or more as everyone that supports the blimp project. Sowing the seeds of doubt and despair never will grow a plant that bears fruit.

I just saw a weather report that places a nor'easter over New England on Sunday. According to the forecast I saw, the weather that would be squatting over Boston would prevent the Ron Paul Blimp from being there.

Those working on the blimp project are miracle workers, in my opinion, but changing the weather is an awfully big miracle. We can only expect so much out of them. I have seen some very unsupportive talk on this forum and as someone who has actually seen the blimp itself and been close enough to touch it, I can tell you that this project is worth everything that has been invested ten fold.

On the chance (increasing by the moment) that the blimp cannot head to Boston it's going to reflect badly upon the people who cannot accept that the weather is beyond anyone's control.

Someone said the helium would only cost 17,000 dollars.

You sure have been full of great ideas over the last day. Only $17K... when they are still 175K short of the money they need for the first month?

Might want to check that patch again... sure it is not an Adrenaline Patch? :D

The blimp must be in Boston for the Tea Party! Half of the reason for the blimp was obviously to boost the Tea Party! Pictures, news articles, and videos of the blimp flying through the air would be a HUGE encouragement for those donating on the 16th! If it's not in the air half of the reason for the blimp is GONE!

I don't care if the blimp has to be DEFLATED and then transported to Boston via flatbed trailers and then REINFLATED and TETHERED to the ground by cables! It must be in Boston for the Tea Party!

Having the blimp in Boston for the Tea Party will really encourage everyone and will boost the significance of the Tea Party! It will probably also mean more MONEY is collected!

Of course if the blimp can be in the air on the 15th it will get massive media attention and the Tea Party will probably be mentioned many times too!

Regardless of the weather the BLIMP MUST FLY in Boston even if it must be tethered to the ground to keep it stable!!!!!

Or else what? The world will end?

Again, I say to you that the two projects were independent and only tied together later. The blimp was NOT CONCEIVED BECAUSE OF THE TEA PARTY.

The blimp was created as a media attention getter and an attraction at various events across the nation. It would have been organized if the Tea Party did not exist. The Tea Party only caused the blimp project to be accelerated on a nearly impossible time frame. If anything, the Tea Party has made getting the blimp off the ground much more difficult.
