Mine:

Thank you for providing great products and services. Walgreens has always been my provider of choice for medical, and even some occupational safety, needs. Walgreens employees have always been helpful, efficient, and cheerful.

It is with great regret that I, then, initiate the first adverse communication of my lifetime with your company. My regret stems not from any Walgreens action, but from the actions of a political pundit sponsored by Walgreens.

Tonight (12 Nov 07) on the Glenn Beck show on CNN's Headline News Network, Mr. Beck thanked me for my military service. Almost without pausing for breath, however, Mr. Beck then insinuated that I was a possible domestic terrorist for supporting Representative Ron Paul and working for his Presidential campaign at the grassroots level.

Since Mr. Beck does not know me, I am 100% certain that he was not speaking of me. As a US Air Force officer, I am willing to defend Mr. Beck's right to voice any opinion he feels necessary. However, as a Walgreens' customer, I would ask that you distance your company publicly from the insinuation that I may be a domestic terrorist merely for the courage to participate in the political process as I feel necessary.

There is no better way to say that... you got a bulls-eye on that one.

Imagine the MSM making us the new "domestic terrorist". think about the laws they've been passing lately... its not a far stretch.

That's exactly why I believe that acting scared or offended merely heightens the charge and brings it from a world of absurdist rhetoric to something of a "close if nothing else" accusation. The best way to dispel the danger of such an accusation is to laughingly and sarcastically embrace it in a manner that demonstrates publicly that it is sheer nonsense. Acting as if there's almost some truth to it by going on the defensive can't help but call to mind the old, "Methinks he doth protest too much."

Ron Paul is not a terrorist. Ron Paul supporters are not (at least by virtue of that support) terrorists. Right now that much seems clear, I hope it stays that way.

That's the 2 cents of just another Ron Paul Republican and Glenn Beck Terrorist.

Sweet! :D

There is validity in this. What if someone decides to vandalize my car or attack me because Glenn Beck said I was a terrorist.

hmmmm. I think this is something that really needs to be looked into.

Then work to help settle down the RP supporters who are supporting violent acts against Glen here, and who probably do it in e-mails to Glen. Based on what I have seen posted here, I am getting an idea of what sort of things are said in e-mails to Glen and why he is calling RP supporters violent terrorists.

We need to quit playing dumb and innocent about the handful of RP supporters that right here say things like they have their guns cocked and are ready to take it to the streets.

It's rare and they are the small few, yet they exist and they are fueling credibility to what Glen is saying.

There is not much we can do about it except for advise against "violent acts talk" or else suck it up when we are called on it and just move forward.

I know Glen is inciting a lot of anger in people. We are the ones who give credibility to his words when we talk in "violent acts against others terms" though. It has to stop or we have to accept it as a part of the overall package. Angry Pyscho speaking supporters will begit reports about how angry and psycho we are.

The math to figure out is simple here.

If any of you are angry at Glen, join the group calling his sponcers right now letting them know you are boycotting their products and services until Glen quits with the defamation of character on ALL of us, when he is speaking of a small few.

I'm tired of the radical RP supporters myself. They are creating hate towards us. It sucks that some of us feel nervous about supporting Paul in public with shirts, signs and bumper stickers fearing people will think we are one of the crazies ready to go postal on someone.

We either start seriously frowning on that sort of talk from RP supporters or STFU honoring freedom of speech and take whats coming to us.

I don't advocate contacting him or cnn.... he may crave attention, but when that attention is coming from the people who really provides the money that pays his salary... well, that may be attention he doesn't want.

Great email! The format needs to be,

Thank them for providing good service,

explain how long you have used them

regret you must stop

explain why,

urge them to distance themselves from slandering slime

It's ok.

What I said does not have any less validity than what you said. Neo-cons will use anything to their advantage regardless of ethics.

It's ok. but really, you shouldn't look to me for validation, if what i said was absurd, people saw it as such... and if what you said was very valid, people saw it as such... we each have biases and we don't agree... i still love you as an american... and well, its ok. :)

thats a great formula for just about anything!

I agree / Let's ignore him / it would be Torcher!

It would be better to vent at giving more time and money to RP.

Let's stay focused

Glenn who??? C'mon people, don't let fools like Glen Beck (or whatever his name is) distract you from the task at hand -- donating money to Ron Paul, circulating nominating petitions for Ron Paul, purchasing yardsigns for Ron Paul, seeking out local GOP organizations to get the message out about Ron Paul.

Hello,

It appears that your company is building a new Walgreens near my house. Up until tonight I was fully intending on using your services once it was open. However, now I am rethinking that.

Tonight on the Glenn Beck program on CNN Headline News, Mr. Beck insinuated those who supported Representative Dr. Ron Paul for the presidency of the United States were domestic terrorists. I am someone who supports Dr. Paul, and was taken aback by these seemingly totally ignorant and inflammatory statements.

I would hope your company would reconsider your support of Mr. Becks program. A company who sponsors a program which asserts that honest hardworking Americans who care about their country and political process, is not one I wish to give my business to.

The terrorist will win if don't go out and shop this holiday season. Glenn Beck will win if i take 5 minutes to call someone. Sounds like solid logic to me.
I'm stuck at home on my death bed right now, what else am I going to do? Go hand out slim jims at 7pm at night in the ghetto?

He is surely flailing about distractedly..LOL!

Best
Randy
