====> ::::: The ALL Glenn Beck Thread ::::: <=====

He's only doing this to get attention from us. He's not a big dog and he knows the attention he could get from RP crowd would be tremendous for him. It's driving him nuts that he hasn't got Paul on his show yet...

TD Ameritrade,

I have enjoyed your services for over two years, and have signed up a family member with you guys, and haev recommended you to another friend who is very interested.

Unfortunately, I have discovered you are a sponsor of Glenn Beck.

Glenn Beck has mentioned that people who hate Americas houses are burning, during the California wildfires:

"I think there are alot of people who hate America, unfortunately for them, alot of them are losing their homes in forest fires today"
On his radio show, Oct 22, 2007
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHe9wwQcYGs

"How do we know the difference between a good muslim like yourself, and a terrorist?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuSMeUVwO40

and the big one, Glenn Beck tells a muslim US congressman, he feels he is a terrorist.

" With that being said, you are a Democrat. You are saying, "Let's cut and run." And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies."

And I know you're not. I'm not accusing you of being an enemy, but that's the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way.

and he today said I, as a Ron Paul supporter, am akin to a terrorist. I cannto abide that my commission money is going into the wallet of this man, and I respectfully ask that you pull his sponsorship. If you do not, I will have to switch to a less expensive competitor that does not sponsor shows that take glee in seeing people's houses burn.

Thank you for your time,

Glenn Beck was mistreated by the campaign

Glenn Beck is a nationally syndicated talk show host. Moreover, he is the only major host who even gives Ron Paul's message the time of day. He agrees with a great deal of it. But for some reason, the campaign decided to treat him like crap.

May 17
Glenn Beck says Ron Paul makes a lot of good points. Its unfair to throw Ron Paul under a bus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqcReDCsYFg

Somewhere in the middle here, Glenn Beck invites Ron Paul on. He says Ron Paul will be on the next day. Jesse Benton later admits that they had committed. An hour before the show, they cancel and go on Blitzer instead. That day on the show, Beck is clearly steamed that they cancelled so late, and now he has to find things to fill that airtime with. Glenn Beck pleads with Ron Paul to re-book, says he'll give him a full hour.

October 9
Glenn says he agrees with a great deal of what Ron Paul says. Is clearly confused on some Ron Paul issues and says the way he presents things makes him "look like the mayor of Crazytown". Piece was 90% positive, but clearly he has some skepticism. Says that Ron Paul's politics is more closely aligned with founding fathers than anyone. States Paul supporters are very aggressive. States that he has called Ron Paul repeatedly to attempt to get an interview, and the one time he did agree to come on, stiffed him. Begs Ron Paul to come on, and says he promises to give fair questions.

October 11
Beck is talking to Brian Sack, the public advocate for the station (fields viewer complaints, etc). Both Sack and Beck state that the campaign never returns phone calls or e-mails (something independently confirmed by numerous people here on the forums, something which is preposterous after a $5 million quarter).

October 29
Ron Paul calls Glenn Beck a demagogue, says he's like Bill O'Reilly.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYSeHMEjRy0

November 6
In conference call on justin.tv Jesse Benton says that they cancelled on Beck at the last minute because they considered Blitzer a better opportunity. Makes clear that he hasn't made it a priority to get in touch with Stu and re-book. Says they'll get around to it eventually, but makes clear that its very low priority implying that Beck is not that big a deal.

Today:
It all comes to fruition.

The whole debaccle was very unprofessional, and while Beck made mistakes too, Beck's not running for office. The campaign should have risen above all this and acted responsibly. When they burned him on showing for the interview, they should have been on the phone all through the next day planning a time to rebook. Instead it seems like they weren't even answering their phone calls and e-mails.

I love Ron Paul, but the campaign has really disappointed me at times.

Hello,

I'm a huge fanatic for Garmin products. I currently own a Nuvi 350 and Forerunner 305 (myGarmin userid: removed), as well as a paid subscriber to www.motionbased.com (userid: removed). Last year for Christmas, I bought two more Nuvi 350's for family, and I know of at least two other people that have purchased Garmin products due to my evangelism/enthusiasm for your company.

Separately, I'm also a huge supporter of Dr. Ron Paul for President. Unfortunately, some pretty nasty stuff was said about Dr. Paul and his supporters by Glenn Beck on his show this evening (on CNN Headline News, 11/12/07) and Garmin is one of his advertisers.

As such, I will be boycotting Garmin until I receive confirmation that you no longer advertise on his show. I will also share this with my friends and family that often look to me for technical advice on gadgets, etc. Further, I am going to post this message to www.ronpaulforums.com as a show of my support for Dr. Paul's cause. The latter has the potential to be viewed by thousands of tech-savvy folks (check out the demographics of Ron Paul supporters if you'd like to confirm that).

I highly recommend that you take a look at the garbage that comes out of Glenn Beck's mouth and second-guess your decision to associate the Garmin brand with his show.

I am very hopeful that action is taken on this soon, as I was kinda hoping to get a widescreen Nuvi for Christmas.

Kind Regards,

I do not agree with the way Glenn portrayed RP supporters, but by organizing money "bombs" on the 5th of November... I think you've got to expect some MSM blowback, ESPECIALLY when the fund raising is such a huge success. I applaud most of you for taking this in stride. Glenn will look down his nose at this kind of stuff, but talk about taking "torches and pitchforks" to Washington. He's kind of all over the place.

As a side note, it is sad that Glenn does not offer support for Ron, because I think that deep down the only thing he does disagree with Ron about is the Iraq War.

It would be better to vent at giving more time and money to RP.

Let's stay focused

Don’t you guys get it? If they are allowed even this small amount of freedom to print or say things that put us in a negative light to the American people.....You know, those people we are trying to win over, then they will ultimately control their votes. The only way we can fight this now and stomp out any artificial affiliation with terrorism is by rising up and doing something about what happened tonight. If you guys think for an instant that they will not do this again if nothing is done about it now then you are mistaken! Terrorists are the number one agent that is being used to fuel peoples fears right now and if Ron is presented in this light then his failure is immanent. If we say we are united for peace, prosperity, and LIBERTY we must come together now for the sake of that very liberty we so strongly believe in. Action starts now! and if not, I dare say we will have another politician next year that will further the destruction of the very liberty we must be encouraged to fight for now. Please do what you can for Ron Paul’s victory. Sometimes this can be done by donating, other times by staging a large rally, yet other times we are asked to do even greater things when the time calls for it. This time is not calling on an arsenal of any other kind besides words, wisdom, and a diligence to get the job done. Can we please stop this before it goes any further?

Oct. 9th was not positive, it made Paul look like a lunatic like the media portrays him to be. It showed Beck wants to do just like O'reilly and just call Paul crazy.

Beck is a warmonger and can't get past it, so he can't like Ron Paul. Beck looks at Paul and loves his other views, but then sees he wants to leave Iraq and thinks "WHAT?! What kind of crazy non-sense is this!?!? We can't leave Iraq!"

Beck never liked Paul because Paul wants to leave Iraq, and Beck wants to go to WW3 pretty much.

I LOVE HOW YOU USE OTHER EXAMPLES TOO!!!!!

Thank you for the references!

1) It's quite possible that Ron Paul, with his amazing integrity, really does resent that Glenn Beck is a demagogue (which clearly he is by definition, albeit the connotation is perhaps a bit removed from the definition these days) and did not wish to appear on the show. I find it entirely possible some staffer agreed to the interview without even clearing it specifically, and that led to the confusion.

2) It could be strategic, as Glenn Beck is obviously a poisonous character in general, it would only fuel some of the nastier rumors and labels that folks are already trying to pin on his campaign.

But of course those are just two ideas.

I think Ron Paul is capable of apologizing, but it doesn't sound like Beck is. I admit the campaign sounds disarganized, but my sentiments go with the guy who has some humilty.

I feel sorta bad for beck (yeah.. lemme hear it) becuase he got mistreated. However, I don't think he handled it well either. Also, the way he talks, a lot of what he says comes off as sarcastic and insulting even when he's attempting to be serious.. leading to confusion and probably the first wave of hate mail from paulites.
