We only have Jane's word for that...has ANYONE heard ANYTHING straight from the NH Republican Party? Maybe Jane really works for McCain or Romney...
I can’t find a cognizant statement on Fox as to why they are excluding Ron Paul. As much as I don’t agree with Ron Paul on many (shall we say most) matters, and as Paul seems to have enough support to be a serious contender for the repub nomination, HOW DOES FOX JUSTIFY IT ?
It seems like this would make the debate a paid political commercial (as they picked who they wanted to highlight). This, in turn, would make it a campaign contribution and liable to the numerous restrictions on such contributions.

Now there is the mention of a contract between FN and NH GOP in which FN gets to pick the participants.

So Fox news is breaking campaign laws. And the fingerpointing goes round and round. The truth is they are both breaking party rules and laws.
http://www.nhgop.org/bylaws/They shall remain strictly neutral in any such primary contest.
That is bull. If the NH GOP signed a contract with Fox News allowing Fox News to choose who to invite, then they are idiots and should all be fired. Otherwise, the "Republican" forum could consist of Giuliani and Hillary (Murdoch's two favorites).
ditto
I am NOT saying that the NH GOP is responsible in any way for Ron Paul being excluded from the Jan 6th roundtable forum on FOX.
What I don't understand though, is why they don't pull their endorsement/sponsorship of the event if THEY want RP included and can't even get what THEY want as sponsors of the event. It would seem that if they yanked their sponsorship and put out a press release stating why they did it would have a huge impact.
It's real simple.
The discussion between the NH GOP and Fox needs to go like this:
NH GOP: Fox, either Congressman Ron Paul will be included in the January 6th Candidate Forum, or we will withdraw our endorsement and the use of our name in this event, and we will publicize our decision in the local and national competing media outlets.
END OF DISCUSSION.
The NH GOP should *pull sponsorship* and anything less is just bullshit.
I am a reasonable person, and I am NOT letting the NH GOP off the hook.
Yep, and the same for St. Anselms, whose President basically washed his hands and said he has nothing to say about it. How about saying "No debate here!!"
NH GOP is still partly to blame. They should END their sponsorship of the event and all will be OK
If the NH GOP cannot do anything about this because of "contractual" issues, then have they at least made a public statement condemning the exclusion(s)?
