Texas about to remove the word "concealed" from "concealed carry"

In Mississippi open carry is legal without a permit, as long as the person who's property you are on doesn't object.

Concealed carry requires a permit, but it is shall issue so unless you have a Court ordered reason it's automatic.

I really need to go ahead and get mine, that's my goal for May!

Hate to say it, but the people who drafted the original bill seem to have been just this side of dumber than turnips. Wind blows and you go to jail because someone saw you pistol? WTF kind of idiocy is that? It's like those dumbasses in FL who said open carry would "inflame" passions and cause dueling. What kind of a friggin' idiot do you have to be to believe something this stupid? "Monumental" comes to mind.

This is a good step forward I think. Next, Texans need to work on unlicensing carry. :D
