Tampa Convention Hurricane Watch

Fox says theyre going to go ahead and nominate Romney real quick monday "and get that out of the way" then cancel it until wednesday without and speeches or anything Monday or Tuesday.

Wow, they're cancelling TUESDAY, too?

trying to avoid a roll call including states that don't vote for him? Or are they planning to skip that part?

My understanding is that if they do anything at all the first thing they do is agree to the rules. I'm hoping there will be a fight on those awful rule changes.

Rules...BAH. Rules?? Seriously???

This is King Romney's coronation. There ARE no rules.

Come, now. Reince said they're going to "get it out of the way" quickly.

Can you imagine what Ron must be thinking as he watches his political career winding down to a final cancellation due to Hurricane GOP?

As of the 11 pm, Tampa now has a 65% chance of tropical storm force winds.

Tropical Storm warning has been issued for Tampa/St. Pete.

The Republicans just grabbed control of the weather machine. Headed straight for New Orleans. All the newest models have a cat 3 NOLA hit Wednesday morning. Others think it's a fictional hurricane.

Looking like a total miss for Tampa. At the moment..
And conflicting info on the tracking map. WNW movement will put it over Key West,, but the map is showing mid Key hit.
Regardless,, Keys and Panhandle,, the rest of Florida is missed.

At this point anyway. as always,,things can change.

Yes,, Missed.

There is rain that has NOTHING to do with the tropical storm. Folks were talking about "feeder Bands" yesterday.

Clouds and rain, that was not even part of this system and moving away from the storm,, not feeding into it.

Hype and hysteria. Yes, I lived there for many years. The media feeds a lot of this shit.

ok...

yes there were feeder bands in the gulf yesterday. that low that was out in front of isaac? yeah, he ATE that low. i am telling you, the squall lines I posted yesterday developed over eastern hillsborough, raced over my head out into the gulf and were sucked allll the way down into this 1000 mile wide tropical storm.

i am not sure what you are basing your call of missed on, but this storm has not had a really good fix on CoC in it's life. It is JUST NOW starting to close off it's "eye". It was hurt by cuba on the south side, but not much.

wind field man. look at it. tell me how that is going to miss tampa? you expect a due west course? maybe even a jog to the south? no, i am watching mid-low level clouds streaming by right now. storms are building to the east as they did yesterday.

I hope it misses us, but it doesn't look likely. Will we get hit with a cat 2 storm? doubt it. It's not even a hurricane, and probably moving too fast. Will we feel the effects of this storm? Already have.

Basing it on watching it.
And yes,, I was looking at those alleged "feeder Bands" yesterday. And put the IR images in motion.
They were flowing over mid Florida and moving North and east up to the Carolina,, not south to the storm.

And I have been watching "out the window" so to speak.

ok, so you didn't see the bands, because what I posted moved rapidly south west into the gulf. You were looking at the outflow into the building ridge, I watched it over my head and confirmed on radar.

And what you saw was a completely unrelated piece of "Normal Florida Weather".
